Ok, let's be honest, do you ever copy/paste or write no more than one sentence with slight modifications for every new introduction when posting in the konnichiwa section?

Long, unnecessary ranting i.e. the long version
I'm not making this thread in order to rant about those who practice this blatant kind of welcomes(may they all face Alduin from Skyrim with a rusty Iron longsword, no armor or magicka and 20 in two-handed/health while trying get rid of some damn quest item you're stuck with since you're playing it on Xbox 360.. Also, you're over-encumbered, no buts.), even though I feel like doing exactly that, in all honesty, even I find it's quite hard to somehow produce a proper response when the opening post starts with a oh-so-lovable 'sup...' !!

Well, I can only control this thread so much, but maybe a little debating and polling wouldn't hurt.. Ok, I'm moving this one to the 'general discussion' section(originally planed for chatterbox).

Anywho, so as to make this a proper discussion thread, give your opinions on these damnable 'sup...':s and blasphemous copy/pasters!!
My opinion is probably quite obvious by now, but don't let that disturb you, tell me what'cha think~

Short version/simple form
How does your post look when you make replies in the konnichiwa section? vote on the poll.

Whats your point ?
I post this in the Konichi Wa section
You must be registered for see images

And this on every new member's profile
:overjoy:Welcome To The BASE !!:overjoy:

Basic 5 things to get started :
1. Only make the introduction thread in the Konichi Wa section and no other topic.
2. Do not multipost. Meaning after posting wait for someone else to post before making a post again.
3. If you want to reply a message click on ''view conversation''first then post your message.
4. To visit a member's profile click on his/her user name.
5. If you want to increase your no. Of post then ''Forum Games'' is the best way. Link :

________________
If you have any question regarding the site then before making a thread about it PLEASEask me:p because that will be easier. And I in 99% cases will answer your question. Since, I rarely ever log out you can ask me whatever you want whenever you want.:D

THANK YOU & ENJOY

I copy and paste. But every basic thing the newbie wants to know about the Base will be there. I also frequently change my welcome messages:)

I really don't understand what your trying to get at, sorry could you explain it in a more simple form?
I've made an addition to the opening post

That section is for welcoming only. People don't have to write a page-long essay just to welcome a new member.
I'm guessing you copy/paste, just a hunch.
Either way, what I'm trying to say is that, indeed you don't have to write essays, never said you had to, but copy/pasters(most) do not even make contact with the newbies! They just do their thing and leave.
I've seen horrific examples of poor newbies being abandoned by us members, asking questions, that I or some, rarely occurring, member answer.
Some only post for post count, is the point I'm trying to present.

Whats your point ?
It's: Give me your opinion on that which I wrote above in the long version, or just vote in the poll ;D

I myself usually type a simple sentence, but
if they give me something to work with, like a nice introductory, ill
some thought put into it.

I'm sure that you've read my post above and I think thats quite a warm welcome. And the contact that you say is not formed. Its formed pretty good 'cause I recieve a hell lot of pm/vm from newbie asking for help.

Ah... I see what you're saying. I was actually going to make a decent welcome post, but too many people are doing the same thing. So I guess I decided to go with something simple. :) And I don't post just to post, I actually want the new members to feel welcome. ;)

I'm not talking about your VM/PM inboxes, I'm talking about the thread, since some of the newbies don't even know what VM/PM stands for.
If you feel that this somehow regards you personally, that I cannot do anything about, sorry.

The point of Konichi wa section is to welcome the newbie.
Thats what I do,
The important thing is welcoming them and helping them out doesn't matter if its done via the post or message.

We should talk more. I can feel a certain agreement with these symbols that you form into language, an agreeable opinion!!

It is, obviously, wait, don't forget that it is mainly a section for introduction. If they don't say hi, we don't get to greet them unless we're observant of their post count.
You're missing the point here, I'm saying that some newbies don't even know what VM/PM is, so they make another thread, asking about something they might have asked in their introduction thread.
We're trying to make the base more effective, use less space and stuff like that.

I see your point.
But,doesn't telling them to feel free to ask for any help counts as any thing.
Of course it does, since if they do come en masse to your profile with questions, then you've accomplished helping them, providing you could help them.
But as almost a thing of convenience, they probably prefer asking things in the threads, and being answered there as well.

Now,that you have pointed out the problem how about looking for a solution.
Something we can do about this.
