Basic Information

Max is undercover and therefore spends the game in typical street clothes: A black leather jacket, opened panther shirt, a white T-Shirt with a necklace and a pair of black pants. He is 6ft (183cm) tall.

After 2 years, Max is back on the force, so he's kitted out in relatively smart office suit but still has his trademark leather trenchcoat with a tie until he loses it in the hospital.

After 9 years, Payne is seen in many different outfits. While still in Konohagakure, Max wears his traditional leather jacket, with a tie, a pair of jeans and stylish black boots. Later, Max is seen sporting a casual gray suit, while in another instance, donned with a blue bulletproof vest over his clothes. During most of his time there, he has a beard, and later is seen with a bald head, wearing a white undershirt with shoulder holster for his kunai(s), tan colored cargo pants, and tan boots. Moreover, he can also be seen wearing colorful red or blue shirts while in Iwagakure favelas.

Max had always kept himself in good shape for most of his years. He has an athletic build that fits him well in his clothes..

Personality:

Tackling insurmountable odds, Max Payne faces every situation with a 'John McClane' type with and a very dark sense of humor which joins his nothing-to-lose demeanor.

Max has a poetic sense of describing his actions. He does not believe his doings are heroic and he believes he should be punished for his actions. Max's pessimistic view on life and his inability to have fun is very noticeable as Hazama points out to Max.

Max, along with his dark humour, is also very morbid. He tends to make jokes even in the face of danger - one example is the conversation between Ragna - whereas two years later he makes no jokes and is hardly ever seen with a hint of humor.

Max Payne pursues his enemies with deep perseverance, some even say fanatically. No matter how injured he might be or how many laws he might be breaking, when he sets his sights on his target, he refuses to let go of them. If it means killing all the enemies that happen to block his way, jumping on top of a moving vehical, avoiding destructive explosive charges, whatever it might be that impedes serving his revenge Payne is not hesitant to overcome.

Follwing the events of where he faced Hazama, however, Max seemed to have started to experience a more pronounced degree of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and depression that has been kept under the surface after the murder of his family. The dark and dry humour in his monlogues are reduced during the events.

His apartment was quite the mess. There was also a video clip (They exist in Naruto, as shown in one of the movies) from Max's apartment that was tapped by the cleaners which shows Max to talk about the emptiness that he had been feeling despite divulging the truth.

This is possibly due to the fact that Max no longer had an actual purpose to live for having fulfilled his vengeance. While he was undercover with the DEA, he had to keep up a good appearance and an obsessive drive. Alex Balder was also a dear friend and DEA handler who kept Max "relatively sane" for 3 years and he was murdered in front of him, no longer able to support Max.

In some years later, Max left konoha for iwa, and in complete depression resorting to substance abuse with alcohol and pain killers. Murdering Hazama has added more layers of guilt and sadness. Whatever motivation that Max holds on to is desperation and survival. Despite this he seems at times to display a certain sense of honour, even with his dark and melancholic perception of the world around him.

Background Info.

History:

Born to Jack and Helen Payne Hyuuga, Max Payne was born in Konohagakure. Not much is known of his dark past, as he never really talks about it to anyone. In fact, he doesn't really talk to many people. Apparently, Max had a simple life til he was about 7. At that age, his parents died by an unknown cause. It wasn't until 8 years later, at the age of 15 that he was confronted by his uncle about the death of his parents. His uncle told him that they were killed by a ruthless killer named

Max was never the same ever since that dreadful day. He always thought of revenge. He even went to the Konoha Police Force, asking them to hunt this man. They always told him that they will continue to search for him, but Max never actually believed them.

When Max was 20, he was informed that a member of the Police Force by the name of

had undertook the investigation of this Hazama person and that he would capture him and bring him back to Konoha. He spoke to Ragna before he departed from Konoha. He begged Ragna to kill Hazama instead of bringing him back, but Ragna didn't listen. He said he would do according to his code and duty and that's it.

Max, not being able to convince Ragna to kill Hazama, decides to follow him til he finds Hazama. The search for Hazama took 2 years, but at last, Ragna was able to find his hideout.

Hazama was hiding in an office, somewhere that was in a huge building, at night. Ragna makes sure to shut his mouth, in order for the safety of his friend.

''Terumi..Terumi..I'm coming for you..''

As he finished his sentence, he began to enter the building..alone, only with his sword. As he entered, what he saw was many men, all armed, surrounding him.

''I admit you all got some guts. Don’t blame me if i ''accidentally'' kill you all instead...Now, come on!''

He finished his sentence, and suddenly unsheated his sword and ran towards all the men.

Meanwhile, Max, wondering where his friend went. Using his genius-intellect, he figured out something's going on, and so he went to the office of Ragna and looked around, seeing evidence, pictures and all things that says one word in his mind: Hazama. Seeing this is the chance to get revenge against the killer of his mother, and worried about his friend, he finds out the location of where Ragna is going, he picks up his coat, and walks away from the office quickly, to get revenge, and protect his partner.

Later, Ragna, is seen having knocking out all the men, sparing the lifes of all these men, without getting injured. And is already nearing the office Hazama is in. Once he enters the office, a man ,depicted with bright green hair and an ever-present smile with his eyes closed, belying a demonic nature. He wears a simple black suit with a white shirt underneath, short brown gloves, and brown steel-toed shoes. He dons a pair of black trousers held up by two brown belts and a fedora hat. Ragna couldn't believe it, but he knew. He knew this is the man he's been searching for these years, this, was Hazama, Hazama Kiyoshi.

''Hey there kid, you're gonna hurt someone. Is that some kind of family thing? Jumping out at people and scaring the shit out of them...?''

''...Terumi... Terumi... I will never forgive you!''

''You won't forgive me? Like I give a damn. Shut up and die already.''

''...Bastard! You wanna try me!? Bring it on, you son of a *****!''

As they finished talking, Ragna, as angry as he was, he charged towards Hazama with his sword, trying to slash the man with it, but Hazama blocked it easily, by just holding the sword with a steel hook, which he probably had it all this time. He began to push Hazama away, and Ragna went for another try to slash, and succeded on giving Hazama an injury on his chest. Due to the injury, it hindered Hazama from fighting, so Ragna took the opportunity to grab Hazama and smash him down towards his desk, knocking him out. Now that Hazama was knocked out, he could take the opportunity to finish him off...but he didn't.

Max was traveling to the area with the use of horses. He continued to ride to the place, as soon as he saw a skyscraper-like building. It begun raining, and it became a stormy day. He could feel his blood boiling, his body shaking, but he felt he was ready. Max begun to get off his horse, and walked inside the building. There, he saw many men, knocked out. He noticed that it must've been Ragna that dealed with them, and investigated the area. Suddenly, he heard someone scream from a room, which sounded like a man's voice. He began to rush towards the room, and opened the door...It was his friend, and..someone on the ground, filled with injuries around his body. As Max's eyes was staring at his partner, he began to slowly look down to the person on the ground, and who it was...He couldn't believe it. The face of the person..it was..Hazama.

''.....what the hell...''

''If only we knew before your parents died, that we would have learned of his existence sooner.....perhaps this tragedy could have been avoided. I'm leaving now, if you dont wanna come and investigate this shithole, thats fine by me...''

Ragna began to leave the room slowly, at the presumed ''dead'' body, and then walked away. But, as he was about to exit the room, suddenly..he got stabbed, in the arm. He fell on the floor, and then saw his uncle about to finish his nephew, but Max then dodged the attack. Max then begun to stand up and then headbutt Hazama in the chest and then spartan-kick him down to the floor.

''...Just how I like it! Hahahahaha!''

''You..You bastard!...I shall see you expunged from this world no matter the cost.''

''You won't forgive me? Like I give a damn! Shut up and die already!''

''God dammit, you're PISSIN' ME OFF!!''

''Oh-ho! Looks like somebody needs to respect his elders! I think a spanking is in order!''

As Max went more mad, Hazama began to stand up as Max then suddenly tried to punch Hazama, but Hazama dodged it easily. Now, Max began suddenly kick Hazama towards his stomach several times and then began to grab him and slam him towards a wall. then he begins to kick him in the stomach several times then towards the face.

''I will put an end to all of this by killing you right now.''

Max began to grab Hazama up, but suddenly Hazama began to pushes Max away from him and then suddenly punches him several times, but Max begins to suddenly kicks him again, but Hazama then counters one of the kicks and kicks Max back.

''How'd you like a special treat? Well, you're getting it anyway!''

''Cut the crap, bastard!''

Hazama now suddenly begins to try to punch Max, but Max luckily blocks the attack. Max then begins to kick Hazama several times, making him end up falling on a wall again. Max begins to grab him from the wall and then throw him towards it, smashing Hazama on the wall. He begins to then grab up him again and then kick him (Hazama) again several times, and then smash him towards the wall. He then suddenly grabs his head with his hands and then kicks him in the balls several times, making Hazama fall down on the floor.

'' Time to die, you degenerate son of a bitch! RAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH! ''

As he had it enough, he begins to grab Hazama up, and then suddenly kick him again several times in the stomach and kick him in the face. He begins to then punch him in the face many times, and then he begins to grab him and then spin around, then throw him towards a window. Hazama begins to crash towards the window, flying away from the building, while screaming some words.

''Ha! Hahaha... We've only just started. But.. well, thanks for the entertainment. Pretty good warm-up there.''

Max watched as Hazama went falling down from the building. Suddenly Ragna entered the room, worried.

''What the hell..what happened? Where's Terumi's body?''

''You mean him?...he's gone.''

''...I see. Listen, we need to get outta here. The konoha shinobis are searching this area. If they see us, we're done. Come.''

''...Affirmitive.''

And so, they left the area. After this, they found a village, known as ''Iwagakure''. Together, they joined the village, and became allied with it.
