We should count Edo Madara a whole seperate person from Madara.
Those who say Madara is the strongest are wrong. He is only unstoppable now because of Kabuto. If he were alive he'd probably run out of chakra like Sasuke did after fighting the Kages and team 7.
Edo Madara is without a doubt the strongest we've seen. But I have a feeling that Sasuke will stop him, because he's seen how to stop Edo Tensei from Itachi on Kabuto. He even had his Sharigan activated at the moment. So the guess is that Naruto and Sasuke team up and face him, or Sasuke does it by himself (It might be his way of proving he's still good).
Now that I've said that...
The reason Madara is the same as Edo Madara(other than the fact that he's dead) is because Madara could not have had this power by choice. He was got it by plot no justu and nothing in his life could he have done to earn it. Like Naruto with Kyuubi, he could have sealed the Kyuubi within himself(So6P did it) if he were old enough and strong enough, just happened that he didn't need to and that it was done for him. Also with Sasuke he may not have earned his eyes the right way but he got has them and fought for them.

Think about it. Someone kills himself and he their friend revive them with edo tensei. They before hand learned the seal and deattach them self from the other person. Anyone can have the power of Edo tensei Now and now people can live forever, just need one sacrifice.
