oro question

im just wondering if someone can please explain to me whats so great about this guy???? i mean i get that he was smart enough to pull so many strings behind the scenes for so long. i just dont get how a guy who made a career out of stalking and manipulating little boys is such a hero on here?! especially when naruto has soooo many ACTUAL badasses to gush over...

j-man anyone?! dude fought off and somewhat tamed naruto in his younger biju years AND held his own against pain for a good period of time.

speaking of pain...umm he damn near solo'd the whole leaf village!

hows about kisame? one of the last akatsuki members to die and he went out like a true boss when he died. not to mention he beat killer bee.

i could go on and on but i really dont want a bunch of "didnt read" posts. just wondering if someone could help me understand. and i know to each their own and people canlike who they want. i just really dont understand the love he gets here. anyone with any thoughts?

see thats the thing... i DO watch and read. all of his acts to me seem cowardly. hes never the guy in the forefront. every move he makes is behind the scenes. im not saying the guy wasnt a genius or that he didnt have crazy skills. i just dont make the connection of how hes a badass? to me a badass is a tough guy that never backs down. if he had a problem with you you would be the first to know...that doesnt really sound like oro to me. how bout you?

Because he's extremely powerful, almost immortal, the only way to kill him is to seal him and even then that's not death, and he was the best villain this manga ever had. That's why. Most don't like him because weird and creepy but I don't care about that, good villains are weird and creepy. May not be able to take Killer Bee, can beat J-Man, can not beat Pain, and he can beat Kisame. And how many other characters can fight toe to toe with four tailed Naruto, while sick, smile the whole time, and think it was fun and regret not being able to finish? If that's not badass I don't know what is. Fun fact: Orochimaru's character was inspired by Dracula.

all of those things you mentioned describe a brilliant mind no doubt... but let me ask you this? is it really badass to play chicken on the railroad tracks if you know the train isnt coming. you said it yourself he was practically immortal so in what way was he in any danger fighting a mindless angry naruto???

cmon man...hiruzen killed HIMSELF. yeah i know oro pushed him to it. but you wanna give oro credit for being sic but not give hiruzen credit for being old as dirt and fighting three on one at the drop of a hat???? that makes no sense man. again he was in no danger in his mind and thats the only reason he decided to fight hiruzen with the deck stacked so high against the old timer

oh yeah? so he made the first move when the leaf got attacked? my memory is a little fuzzy but i kind of remember him hiding in costume untill most of the village was put to sleep and hiruzen was surrounded by the sound four and by his lonesome... and yeah it was him who stepped up and pressed kabuto's mom and not hiding in the background whispering in danzo's ear

Well u say hes a genius and has crazy awesome skills and still ask why hes badass? He IS a tough guy that never backs down watch Naruto vs Orochimaru and even after he got killed by sasuke he could emerge from sasuke as a 8 headed giant snake.

genius and badass are not the same thing man...do you look at bill gates and go "wow what a badass he is!"? no you dont because he isnt. and you cant bring up a situation where he was hiding and call it badass. he was HIDING inside of sasuke and waiting for the right time to strike. again thats very smart but not very badass if you ask me

he set everything up, he alone made the move. Orochimaru is boss, he can con anyone and even do the bidding himself, thats the role of a villain.
