What you basically described was Amaterasu.

Furthermore it can also be used instantly, like demonstrated against Kabuto.

However, I don't completely disagree. The title is obviously wrong, but Kamui is highly dangerous indeed. It can be easier dodged than Amaterasu (since the only targets it absorbed instantly were small or thin, not like a human body), but it's still very dangerous. Furthermore it can be used for more purposes than just attacking, it's a perfect defense mechanism. Deidara's C0 or a normal sized Bijuu Dama, for example, are incredibly powerful and deadly to most characters, but can be easily teleported with Kamui.

Kakashi is one of the strongest ninja thanks to his 1000 jutsu and sharigan abilities. But the writer made him that way as to be a mentor for the young generation. That's why he's always attacking first instead of naruo or Sakura or anyone else. So they can learn from his mistakes to become a better ninja then he is.:shrug::flaw:

yea u are right to a good degree. kakashi is really good technically. but when it comes to the master of plans and schemes in fighting, minato is something else especially when you are fighting an enemy that requires rapid feasible solution or else you are dead.

Yeah,you are right.his kamui is so OP.but in actual battle it would be very different.for example shisui can technically kill everyone since his KA cant be countered,but one can simply choose not to look in his eyes and beat him otherwise,so you can never say technically,raikage could eliminate kakashi even before kakashi activates his MS.

I don't understand threads like this. Kakashi is a great ninja, he's smart, incredibly skilled, and very experienced. However, his power level peaks extremely low. His greatest abilities are speed and stealth. Catching someone by surprise is where he is the strongest. In a fight against any normal ninja (ones that don't possess powers like immortality, massive destruction, or sensory abilities), he is very likely to win. When it comes to ninja like Naruto, Itachi, Sasuke, Tobi, Madara, Hashirama, Kisame (or any of akatsuki for that matter), the Sannin, some of the other Kages, ect, he is simply outclassed by a large margin.

Just look at the chapter where Naruto was fighting against the Edo Jinchuriki, where Guy and Kakashi came 'to help.' They were completely defenseless, even as a team, against the power of the jinchuriki. If Naruto hadn't been there to protect them, they would have been killed for sure.

Kakashi was even killed by one of the paths of pain, which Naruto destroyed in one blow.

I would tend to say that while Kakashi is a great leader, a great teacher, and a great ninja, the story has progressed to a point where he's simply outmatched in most fights.
