Just so we're not confusing each other here..I'm thinking you're talking about Sasuke saying he can't be warped away.

Tobi did state in the manga that he couldn't be warped away, but Sasuke never stated that.

There's one big problem with that, though.

He'd eventually go blind.

And if he can't see how is he going to kamui somebody?

People always wonder why he uses it as a last resort/defensive technique only, and that is the reason. His technique would be useless without his sight.

LOL he does have a normal eye he can see perfectly through his normal eye and use kamui through the sharingan eye

doesn't matter how much his eye sight deteriorates in his sharingan eye it isn't affecting his MS ability when itachi used his own abilities despite having this poor eyesight.

and the reason for it being a last resort move is most probably cause it is such a hax move it has to be restricted by kishi

when do people ever use the best weapon first though. They talk, the usually saw why they are fighting, i guess to show honor, and then they fight based off whats being used against them. Kakashi is a great character and one of my favorites, but you cant technically say who will beat who cuz you never know the situation and these things usually have effects to outcomes. kakashi is a good assasin though and has been trained by the 4th and anbu. He is a very tactical fighter and has all range attacks at his arsenal, his chances of winning are alot higher than most.

Since Kamui is a jutsu you can use in an blink of eye and can be use even from far distance(in the contrary of Tsukiyomi or Amaterasu), normally you can hit every target you can see. Unless you escape from his field of vision(Kage bunshins, or a shield), it's nearly impossible to counter it. You can only hope that Kakashi run out of chakra quickly, but it seems like he can control it much more better, so i don't see it happening. What is also dangerous with the technique is that when it starts, you don't even know cuz it's nearly invisible(Deidara, or even Pain didn't knew when he absorbed his nail and went away cuz he thought he was already dead). So unless you have Raikages speed(who can surpass even the sharingan vision), or unless you can teleport yourself(Minato or Tobi), it's nearly impossible to dodge. You can try to feint him with Kage bunshins though.

So technically unless you have make bunshins before, Kamui is technically unavoidable unless you are as fast as Raikage or a S/T user like Tobi or Minato.

Kakashi wouldn't just off the bat Kamui. He saves it . How did Pain def. Kakashi? He could of Kamui pain. How come Kakashi didn't just finish Kakazu off with kamui and not have most of konoha 11 at aid? Why didn't he use it against Deidara as him and naruto chased him instead of going through a wild Goose hunt and kamuiing a gigantic blast? Kamui's the last option. Kakashi's going to save it for the big devastating attack or saves it for when he's pinned down about to face death . Odds of Kakashi kamui-ing an opponent is zero to none. But if he did he'd be OP.

I actually agree with you. Only those with imense speed, S/T techniques, or clones used effectively could avoid it and maybe Izanagi as well. If KA is used on him at the start of the battle though, then that might prevent him from using it at all.

When it comes to avoiding it while it's being used, then speed, S/T technqiues, Clones, and Izanagi would be able to overcome it (though Izanagi would cost the user an eye but it would still allow him to avoid being warped). Perhaps other techniques that'll force him to concentrate on his sorroudings as well would prevent him from getting a clear shot at his opponent. Something that would affect him directly such as genjutsu used in the appropiate way could overcome it.

Even then, that's still not alot of people who are capable of doing so. Though Kamui itself is what doesn't make Kakashi seem like fodder against Top Tier Shinobi, the problem would be his chakra reserves.
