The most interesting thing about Hashirama that no one is talking about..

Hashirama has a pretty impressive resume. We know all about it, defeating Madara, being able to take the ninetails out of his possession and defeating Kakuzu to name just a couple of feats...but the one thing that no one is talking about, is given Hashirama was THAT powerful, who would have been powerful enough to take him out?

I've been curious for quite a while now about the cause of his death, and I thought Kishi might take the route of saying Madara took him out after unlocking the rinnegan, but it doesn't seem like that is the case.

What do you think the case was?

Do you think Kishi still might claim Madara did it after unlocking the rinnegan?

Did he suffer the same fate as his brother, being killed by a large group of elite ninja?

Maybe some sort of sickness weakened him and he was overrun that way?

It doesn't seem to me, given that he was labeled the most powerful ninja of his time, and the only man who seemed to be able to compete with him was defeated by him, that there was a single ninja strong enough to take him out.

Since Tobi is seemingly behind everything, he might've killed Hashirama too?

I think he his death has something to do with, rinnegan madara, zetsu and gedo mazo.

Perhaps he never fully recovered from his battle with Madara. This could give credibility to the notion that he was indeed killed by fodders/shinobi in one of the ninja wars. I reckon Tobi had something to do with it if i'm honest.

Actually believe he either run out of chakra during a fight like the 3rd raikage and got killed by fodders. Im certain the fodder who killed him would be one lucky mofo.

Eitehr that or he also suffered severe injuries like madara from the fight. He mightve lived a couple of years after but the injuries eventually took him to his grave.

I dont believe there was somebody else as strong as him to take him out. What im actually interested in who was son is. Tsunade's dad. That interests me very much

This possibly. Remember this is the ninja world the winner isn't only decided by raw power. He could have been outsmarted somehow, defeated by a large group of elites (though this is less likely), been poisoned even any large number of sneaky tactics not just outright outmuscled in DBZ fashion.

I doubt we'll ever hear about that. Tsunade has never mentioned him, nor has anyone like Jiraiya/Orochimaru or even Kabuto(and if he was an elite ninja, you'd assume Kabuto would have attempted to summon him, or would have commented on it anyway).

He was a genius, so I would highly doubt him being outsmarted, at least, not enough to the point where someone gained enough of an advantage that they could manage to do it.

He fought another genius in Madara, who seemingly matched him in power, and not even Madara could pull it off.

Maybe he was like Nagato! He probably created a ridiculously big forest which drained his chakra thus killing him! He must've died thru self sacrifice, the strongest man in the Narutoverse couldnt have been killed!

Given Sakumo killed himself, there was none of his DNA available to be used for summoning. He would have had to go in to Konoha and dig up his grave, lol.

if so why not gloat on that possible fact if he wanted people to believe he was Madara surely another tidbit like "oh by the way I killed the 1st Hokage"..

Edo Madara has stated the only person who can defeat him is the 1st so this is unlikely.

This is also a possibility although Madara stated Hashi had the ability of healing himself without seals so.....
