Yea, I think he was just some fodder character they wanted to show fighting wolverine. Probably based off Marrow from the comics.

He is most likely based on the character from "X-men Evolution" who calls him self "Spike" who can create wooden spikes all over his body and project them instead of using as a defense if he wants to. If any thing, more like Hashirama... but in actual fact, is just a character created by marvel...... hard to believe?.... idiot
