guys. kishi the creater has interviewed about this and its been posted before. At the time of the series when itachi had died against sasuke. he was asked who the strongest shinobi in the series were. Instead of a direct anwser "because the entire series was/is still unfolding". he said "of the dead shinobi. minato is definetly the strongest." then hesitated a bit and said "he prolly shares the spot with hiruzen.".
If that doesn't make sense. Think of it in that what the creator says is LAW.
If there's a time where you think your interpretation would be better then the creators. I don't think this is one of those times.
you can't just declare things because you go O.O wetting yourself at a new attack.
