I don’t know about this. Masashi was inconsistent with Hashirama’s and Tobirama’s abilities throughout the series. In part 2, Hashirama’s abilities are so hyped up, that he strikes me as the direct descendant of the Sage’s Younger Son. Had Masashi were consistent, it be much easier determining Orochimaru’s Edo Summoning skill level, but since he wasn’t I am lead to believe that they may have been using their full powers.

Prime Hiruzen is still the strongest hokage according to Kishi. Oro is just dum in battle thats all.

He very well may be but not to the extent of him beating both of the previous. He may be more rounded but that also doesn't mean he would beat them as individuals So he me be better than hashi but it doesn't mean he would beat hashirama maybe just an all around better shinobi. But no one accepts this at all.XD

Jesus.. they were toying with him INSIDE bringer of darkness..

They could have ended it the moment he was in it.. by both of them using long range attacks such as moukoton and water bullet etc....

Instead of doing that, they came up close and toyed with him, punched, kicked etc.. That's what orochimaru meant.

Noone is denying at that part they toyed... Noone is saying that old ass hiruzen can beat two hokages....

However young hiruzen can solo each of them individually...

Part 1 of Naruto has a completely different power scale than what we're used to nowadays. You say they could've done more, but that was actually a pretty intense battle for Part 1.

I'm sure he couldn't beat Hashi and Tobirama combined. In his prime however, I do think he could beat either at high difficulty. His fight against Oro showed he has what it takes to counter mokoton and bringer of darkness. I'm positive Kishi wanted Hiruzen to be the strongest hokage. It was stressed over and over again about his old age hendering him during his fight.

It would be pretty easy to turn right around and claim Oro was a ***** for waiting till Hiruzen was 69/70 years old to kill him. What does that tell you?

You can look at the fight 400 different ways. It's pretty stupid to act like your opinion is fact. Oro tried to play around with an old man, that old man bitch slapped him by taking his 2 beloved summons and arms away from him. Yeah it killed him in the process, but Hiruzen was probably on death's door as it was, as he had really nothing left to live for, other than waiting for someone to come along to take his spot as hokage.

Didn't read. Hiruzen prime still > Hashirama, the statement which said this was not affected by anything which happened in his battle with Oro. All the people who think otherwise are just plain stupid.

I agree. I mean I don't think for a second that Orochimaru ever thought there was a time where Hiruzen was going to beat him. He even knew he couldnt complete the reaper jutsu, which was lame btw. I mean Oro's soul's arms just grew back?.....anyway what a troll Kishi.

He may, but by strongest i am not sure he meant he could just beat the others.. I mean he has no counter to minato's moves really. I think he may just be a better ninja all together. Like Gai beat KIsame but Kisame is a much better shinobi all together. Ya see?
