Basic Information
Name: Shirō Aburame Nekura
Nickname: The Aburame Prodigy, "Gouki", Demon Slayer
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Clan: Aburame Nekura

Appearance: Shirō is a tall slender man with a slight muscular build and has peculiar light gray hair which he sports in a messy fashion. When first introduced, Shirō's appearance was that of a regular Konoha ANBU, complete with a white cloak and mask. After removing the mask it was noted that much like members of his own clan, Shirō also had spectacles of some kinda although they were not the usual dark-tinted sunglasses sported by the Aburame. This is one of Shirō's most notable features as, unlike other Aburame clan members, Shirō wears a pair of glasses with a chain adorned with beads and a cross. He is also heavily clothed, another trait of the Aburame; and wears a high collared, all black outfit and always has a large scarf-like satchel on his back (which in fact is a type of cloth-like gourd in which he keeps his Kikaichū in). This scarf-like gourd would make Shirō one of the most well-known and feared members of the Aburame clan. It has also been seen on several occasions, that underneath his large black outfit, Shirō's body is heavily covered in tattoos. He also carries several pouches with him and wears a pair of black gloves.

Personality: Shiro is quite mysterious, appearing as if he is always thinking or pondering about something; he is usually seen with a smile on his face as if he were hiding his emotions. Formerly being an ANBU member, Shirō is cautious, careful and well prepared. He projects a calm, stoic demeanour in stressful situations. Despite this, he can also be quite laid back when not on duty - and at times, rather immature and perverted O_O

As a genin, Shirō was a rather unenthusiastic and lazy kid who liked to gaze at clouds. He preferred not to get involved in "troublesome" activities, pretending to be busy to avoid responsibility. He also does not like fighting, deeming it, as he does most things, "troublesome". However, when duty calls, Shirō has a strong moral compass and sense of commitment towards his comrades. Even though, by his own testimony, he lacks bravery, he will sacrifice himself and face almost certain death, for the sake of his friends and/or villagers without a second thought. Because of his raw leadership skill, he was the first genin from his generation to become a chūnin. The weight of the decisions he must make as a chūnin and, thus, team leader have caused Shirō to mature rapidly. This was most evident after the death of his sensei, Hiruzen Sarutobi. He vowed to protect and later mentor Hiruzen's grand nephew, Konohamaru Sarutobi.

Shirō enjoys playing thinking games, that usually older men are usually into, such as shōgi and Go (his teacher, Hiruzen, even said at one point "That kid is like an old man. He likes to take things slowly."). He is also often seen smoking, smoking about two packs of cigarettes a day.

In recent times however it has been revealed that despite his seemingly calm and stoic demeanour, Shirō is actually rather twisted and sadistic. His sadistic attitude is presumably due to the death of his parents and brothers which he tried so hard as a youngster to mask. Sick and tired of this "mask", Shirō has, in recent times, embraced his true nature and has since set his eyes on goals alien to the ideals that he was brought up with. Torune, a close friend, theorized that Shirō went down this path in an attempt to forget his painful memories. This mindset has influenced the image he has on the people around him, especially Konohamaru who apparently now sees him as "something inhuman in human form".

Background Info.

History: Born to Kamiko Aburame and Hiroki Aburame during the Second Shinobi World War, Shirō was the youngest of two children and the younger brother of Shibi who was one year his senior. The life of Shirō is rather tragic as a few weeks after being born, Shirō and his bother Shibi were kidnapped from Konoha after a number of attacks from invading ninja from Amegakure, who took the opportunity of decreased military defense (due to most of the strong ninjas in Konoha fighting in the war) to infiltrate and steal hiden ninjutsu from the weakened village. While little is known of Shirō's parents' career as ninja, they were presumably skilled enough to have been promoted to the rank of jōnin and were thought to have been either killed during the Shinobi World War or from protecting Konoha from invading ninja. So thus, not long after he was born, Shirō and his older brother, Shibi, became orphans.

Anyway, the two Aburame boys, were taken on their way to Amegakure where their kidnappers would attempt to steal their Aburame ninjutsu - however, Shibi was able to escape with his younger brother from their kidnappers and ran away as far as he could from the war ravaged village of Amegakure. From which he was able to do and consequently, wandered the country, going from house to house asking and scavenging for food for he and Shirō to live off. They lived on the street, children ignored by the rest of society. And slowly, months turn into years and through persistence and courage, while Shirō was 7 and Shibi, 8, things began to look up and both boys met another pair of orphaned boys much like them, Fugaku (16yo at the time) and Stein (14yo at the time) and began living with them in a small house - a place where they could finally call home. They were like a family and began traveling with each other in search of food. But one day, two Iwagakure ninjas broke into their home looking for food, unaware that the place was still inhabited. Scared for their lives, Shibi and Fugaku decided that they should escape and run from their house and so they did. However, in the shadows of the night, the fleeing boys startled the two Iwa ninjas and were mistaken to be enemy ninja - and were attacked by the two Iwa ninja. Shibi tried desperately to fend off the ninja so that Shirō could escape from which Shirō was able to escape. However, Shibi and the others had been killed in their efforts to escape. And once again, Shirō had lost members of his family.

When the war ended, Shirō ran into a man who told him he would buy him some food. They went to the Ramen shop and ate; the man told him his name was Kikyō, a medical officer of the Konoha Medical Unit Squad and also a member of Konoha's Aburame Clan. Kikyō brought Shirō with him back to Konoha, raised him as a son, and would soon teach him the Hidan ninjutsu of the Aburame. About a year later, when he turned 8, Shirō joined the Shinobi Academy at the same time as Torune and Fū under the guidance of the Hokage himself, Hiruzen. By the age of 9, Shirō graduated from the Ninja Academy and was promoted to Chūnin at the age of 11. Shirō would later become the mentor of Hiruzen's grand nephew, Konohamaru. He spends most of his time traveling from place to place and has recently met a man who Shirō calls "Dr. Jackal", a dark and twisted man much more than himself and also the head of the "Nekura Clan". Upon meeting Shirō, this man immediately recognized the dark, sadistic tendencies Shirō buried within himself, recognizing the unachieved potential of the youngster from which he proceeded to recruit and train Shirō to become a Nekura Clansmen.

__________________________________- Shirō letting go and embracing the Nekura's "Keigoku".
These are only a few chapters of Shirō's life that have been written down as he tends to travel from place to place and generally does not like to talk about his past. He is currently 21 and regarded as a hero to many people around the world as well as a villain to others. To this day he continues to travel from place to place as though in some sort of quest for something or someone. Whatever the case it may be, Shirō continues to chase "it" even if he will never find it. For he knows, the journey is what makes a man not the destination.

Other: Skills & Abilities
Will of Fire: Like many other Konohagakure shinobi, Shirō has inherited the First's Will of Fire which gives him the strength, perserverance and will to continue fighting despite against all odds (i.e. small injuries for example are not enough to stop him in a fight).

Affinities: Shirō possesses a natural affinity for Wind. Because of this, his Wind techniques are faster to perform and more advanced than his other elemental techniques requiring only a single handseal to perform the said techniques. Additionally, Shirō also displays an intense interest in Water Release Ninjutsu. After spending much time experimenting and practicing the use and execution of Water techniques, Shirō is capable of performing Water techniques much faster in comparison to his other elemental techniques.

Weaponry:
Shirō also displays a similar interest in the use of weapons as he does in Water Release Ninjutsu. Despite his appearance, when in battle, Shirō is heavily armed. He is often seen "playing" i.e. experimenting/practicing with various weapons in his spare time especially such as his various Tantōs (small dagger-like blade), Wakizashis (short katana), Chokutōs (custom-made swords), Tessens (giant war fans), exploding tags and flash bombs, to list a few. He always carries two tanto and two Wakizashi, one on each side and sometimes carries a Nodachi on his lower back, perpendicularly to his body as well as sometimes carrying a Naginata spear/Chokutō/Bo Staff/Tessen on his back. Because of the training he endured, none of this equipment disturbs him in battle, either because of the quantity or because of the weight. Although his true prowess with weapons is yet to be shown in a real-combat situation. He carries several scrolls with him which have multiple weapons sealed inside them. Shirō is also a reliant user of summoning seals which are either tattooed on various places on his body or sealed away in parts of his clothing.

Clan Abilities: The abilities of the center on the summoning and control of this foul chakra of the Juubi's, that the clan calls "Keigoku". The chakra is warped from the moon by a clansman opening the dimesional portal, through which the chakra enters the battlefield. This is much like a Summoning jutsu, which brings objects from a different place through dimensions. The portals can be opened anywhere on the battlefield. However, note that they cannot be used for transporting the user, opponent etc. over dimensions. Only Keigoku can transport itself through the portals. The portals are silent and do not actually count as a jutsu, however the release of a Keigoku technique from them is a jutsu; furthermore, it's not as if the portals possess any use outside of transporting Keigoku anyway.

The power of the Keigoku, however, is not to directly affect physical objects. The Keigoku is so corrupted, that it causes searing pain to an opponent's mind if they have been touched with the energy. Much like how prolonged exposure to a fire can cause extreme burns, prolonged exposure to high-rank Keigoku techniques can cause a complete shattering of the mind and possibly a vegetative state. This also lets the Keigoku pass through physical substances without minds, such as earth, water or trees to reach a target behind it, since it loses none of its powers on the non-sentient object. Should the Keigoku touch a Summoning, it will turn them against its master.

Skilled users of Keigoku have been rumored to shift its focus from merely shattering minds to bending them or manipulating them with even direct eye contact initiating a transfer of Keigoku between people. However, this can only be done by extremely high-level Nekura and requires special training from the Clan Head.

Gourd of Kikaichū: In addition to housing Kikaichū inside of his body, Shirō carries around with him a large scarf-like satchel on his back which in fact is a type of cloth-like gourd in which he keeps additional Kikaichū. This allows Shirō to have twice the usual amount of Kikaichū an Aburame member would have, allowing him to perform Aburame techniques much quicker and easier than his clansmen. Because of this, he is able to use Aburame jutsus further than normal (longer range) i.e. damage is the same but reach is enhanced. So, if a Aburame jutsu is usually Short-ranged, Shirō is able to cast it up to Mid-Range. If it's Mid-Range, Shirō is able to cast it up to Long-Range. Shirō's Kikaichū themselves are also quite special known to be much more ferocious than the regular species, his Kikaichū have the ability to consume wood at an extremely rapid rate; they are also very protective of their host.
(Hijutsu: Takigi Houmen) - Secret Technique: Firewood Release
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range:Short-Long
Chakra Cost : 40
Damage : N/A
Description: A special kind of insect that has the ability to consume wood in a extremely rapid speed rate in which they are known as few of the most feared bug in the world. They also have the ability to fly, This type of bug is one of the most loyal & obedient to their master which mean they would even lay their life in order to protect their master.
Note: They could only eat wood jutsu up to A rank
Note: Each time they consume a wood technique counts towards the three moves.
Note: Can only be taught by Toshiyuki
Shirō also always has a moderate number of his Kikaichū dispersed short range from himself (mostly under his clothing). Being such a knowledgeable Aburame, through longs hours of training in addition to living his whole life with Kikaichū, can now understand and communicate with his Kikaichū at a much higher level compared to regular members. So, efficient and effective that he uses his Kikaichū to sense any chakra on the field; thereby making Shirō himself able to sense chakra (by almost instantly interpreting his Kikaichū reactions). Over the years, Shirō has gained the ability to have this skill constantly activated through pure and constant concentration and chakra manipulation (but only short range from him, unless he disperses his Kikaichū into a larger range).
(Hijutsu: Kanchiki Kikaichū) – Secret Technique: Sensory Kikaichū
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary/Defense
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20 (+10 each turn it's activated)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user disperses his Kikaichū bugs all around the battlefield which are then used to alert the host about the location and presence of any nearby chakra on the battelfield. This is made possible due to the close relationship that the host has with his bugs and thus, his Kikaichū bugs can communicate to him and relay him information in a number of ways. By simply watching and/or hearing his bug's movements, the user is capable of interpreting their responses and can determine the presence and location of all/any chakra bearing objects on the battlefield. It should also be noted that the bugs inside the host are capable of receiving these messages from their fellow bugs and can relay this to the user - i.e. another method to communicate.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame Clan.
Note: Can't detect opponent if underground.
The Infamous Spectacles: It is believe by many that Shirō's spectacles has some sort of special ability or power allowing him to have an incredible clarity of perception to effortlessly track speeds that are normally difficult to be seen by the regular eye as well as the ability to see through genjutsu. This in part, is somewhat true as he wears special eye-piece lens that were given to him by a close friend to counter and dispel genjutsu. However, in regards to Shirō being able to track somewhat high speed movements due to his spectacles; it is false and is more due to Shirō's natural agility and his innate high reflexes. Shirō also has an innate talent for genjutsu which combined with his obsession of it, has made him able to recognise that he's under a genjutsu with more ease.
(Boushirenzu) - Eye-piece Lens
Type : Supplementary
Rank : A
Range : Short
Chakra cost : 35 (+5 to maintain)
Damage points : N/A
Description : This is merely just two eye-piece lens that are specially designed to utilize chakra within them. Once placed in the user's eyes, the eye-piece lens aren't visible to the enemy eyes and will only turn visible when coming in contact with enemy chakra. When this happens, it starts turning a translucent colour of blue and then fades away. The purpose of the technique is to block out enemy chakra that is sent via the eye, making it a defense against genjutsu that require eye contact or transference of chakra to the user's mind. The user is not able to control when it can be activated, it will self-activated once detecting enemy chakra trying to enter the user's body.
Note: Usable only once per battle
Note: Only up to B-rank illusion techniques
Note: Can only be used or taught by -Yusuke-
Note: Unable of defending against MS level techniques
Note: Not capable of activating manually by the user
Note: Counts as a move when it self-activates
Note: Can either be stated in the user's biography or the start of a battle.
Taijutsu: Shirō has moderate skill in hand to hand combat. Over the years it has been shown that although his opponents are usually stronger, Shirō is faster and more agile. He has been known to be able to hold his own in hand-to-hand combat against Maito Gai, however every time he is subdued by Gai, it is through physical force. However, Shirō has proven to be very skilled in the area of martial arts as well, this being proven when beating the Gai once in a fight without "cheating".
