No he didn't die, there is a cutscene after you beat the game that shows him going back to cryo sleep, you just need to wait after the credits when you beat the game and you will see it. Here is the video

YES!! I was a 50 in Halo 3 back in the days, and I was truly disappointed by Halo Reach as they altered my favourite weapon: The BR. Now that it's a three burst I might buy it!! Awesome!! +Rep for sharing! :D

In the legendary ending you find out that half of the ship he was on did survive the blast but got teleported somewhere else. He ended up in a place no one knew off, all we saw was a distant planet. Until last year it was discovered to be the home of a new race, and whatnot.

OT: Looks amazing, can't wait. Though I'm really disappointed 343 didn't listen to their audience, and kept Loadouts, and on top of that armoury that inflict gameplay, but oh well we'll see how it goes.

Even though there will be armor abilities and loadouts 343 said that it is still going to be like the other Halo's where everyone start off with the same weapons so its good

yea great stuff tomorrow they will go more in depth since there is a specific time for halo 4.

Also as expected the forerunner AI's are the new main enemies. BUt covenant still in it is a happy sight to see.
