right feats the past. the hype. like afterwards dont you feel like "this is the guy that blah blah blah something crazy and he lost to so and so?!"

Uh sometimes i guess....
I'm not really getting your question all that well:confused:

Hypes of characters are just there to provide background information of characters, while feats are there to support and cement the prior hype on characters. An example to this case could be Jiraiya vs Paths of Pain.

Hype: Pain had never lost a single fight before as stated by Konan.
Feat: Pain's hype of having never lost has just been confirmed and supported by the fact that he defeated Jiraiya.

While of course Plot no jutsu obviously overules the two.

Yeah, i agree with this.

well sometimes the hype and feat are the same thing for example: Sasori can control 100 puppets at once and destroyed an entire village with them. Who knows if it was a challenge or not but honestly I dont think (and i feel bad about this) that Pain beating Jiraya was that much of a challenge for him >.<

and yes i know that the pplot overrules the two but im not asking about which decides how a fight goes, im asking which (the plot or the hype) governs your feelings about the outcome.

It really would depend which characters people are talking about. But for me the plot really governs my feelings about the outcomes. For all we know Kishi could come out and say Kiba can defeat Naruto and will be the new main character. So all of Naruto's hypes and feats have just been thrown out the window simply because the author says so and his decision to make everything about the plot Kiba centered.

right but if that were to happen (i love kiba btw) wouldnt you say something along the lines of "man thats bull**** because naruto was just about a perfect jink, defeated pain, kakuzu, gave Oro some trouble, etc....and Kiba just has fang over fang which misses almost all the time!"?

What answer are you trying to get out of us? What is it that you want to hear?

And yes it would be bs if current kiba beat current naruto has been proven to be stronger. It would be plot no jutsu.

I'm trying to get anything per se. I'm just asking which causes how you feel about an outcome. If you feel an outcome wasn't idk fair, or probable, do you say "thats not fair cos so and so is supposed to be hella strong" or if you say "that's not fair they didnt use their full strength for the sake of the plot"

there is no right answer, theres just how you feel. we're just talking.

Bold: That's my reaction when Sakura and Chiyo defeated Sasori with 100+ puppets armed with poison so there you go.
