I think its safe to say that many things in Naruto are hacked, one sided, etc. For example Sakura vs Sasori, Naruto vs. Kakuzu, all of this war....

I'm wondering now if people feel strongly about cases such as Sakura vs. Sasori because of the hype behind Sasori wiping out a village on his own, killing the Kazekage? Or about Kakuzu being a genius and all his feats? Had we not been told about these people's battle experience and we only saw them in combat with our heros, would we think their deaths would still be as trolled?

So which do you think is stronger? Plot no Jutsu or Hype no Jutsu?

To be clear, this question is about your feelings towards the series, not the actual ruling factor to the outcome of the battles.

Hmmmm, I don't like "Plot" and "Hype" no justu. I think they both are stupid, like fanboys just made them up to make excuses for their favorite character. But to answer your question it's Plot no justu

yeah plot no, but come on guys if you don't like the plot then read another book? All these champion shinobi are being defeated buy perhaps the new strongest generation of shinobi.

The question is about your feelings on the matter and whether the plot or the hype guides your feelings more. Im not talking about what decides the outcome of the battles.

It wasn't just Sakura Chiyo was also there the best puppet master in the village she did most of the work anyway but plot no jutsu > hype no jutsu by far.

Plot of course. Hype is good to a certain extent but you can't go purely based off hype.

Well here's my thing about it. When we talk about who would win a fight in a versus thread for example. Usually the first thing that people do in support of who they think would win is start listing the feats such as the ones I put in my OP. And they use the feats as a grounds to show a characters full strength (which we usually dont see unless its our young ppl like Naruto and Sasuke, we just hear about it like with Sasori and Kakuzu). So I'm asking if we'd still think these ppl were as strong if we never knew their battle history other than what what we saw them do?

No, i don't think so. Thats why guys like 3rd raikage and sasori are underrated imo.
Also, you sorta need battle history to know the power of the character for fighting style and intelligence.

so then what youre saying is that the hype of a character is the ruling factor for how you feel about it? How you judge their strength and whether you think they shouldve won or not I mean.

No, i'm saying that feats, seeing the fights, influence me more on who i think will win.

Hypes of characters are just there to provide background information of characters, while feats are there to support and cement the prior hype on characters. An example to this case could be Jiraiya vs Paths of Pain.

Hype: Pain had never lost a single fight before as stated by Konan.
Feat: Pain's hype of having never lost has just been confirmed and supported by the fact that he defeated Jiraiya.

While of course Plot no jutsu obviously overules the two.
