more importanly itachi can activate susanoo much much faster than jiraya can with SM and he can do it beofre jiraya even makes a handseal for toads or anything else.

jman uses needle gedo to tame sussano.

he uses hiding in a toad technique to buy himself time for sm or summonings.

I don't see any objective reason to believe Jiraiya can get past Itachi's genjutsu or speed at this point. Sage Jiriaya would be able to keep up and push Itachi to use Susano'o, but base Jiriaya?
