I see that you can't understand a single word I write. How many times must I say that Hiruzen could have mentored him and let him become hokage later?

Even so Itachi was still more powerful than every single person you listed. EVERY SINGLE ONE. If he had been groomed for the hokage position and actually had a sensei, then he would have been the best ever.

Remember that he had no one to train him after his academy days.

Everyone on that list could have and would have been able to stand and win against itachi. Everyone there is a better candidate. You got yamoto who is related to the 1st hokage, is very powerful, was older than itachi by at least 10 years had expierance and leadership basically coming out of him. You had asuma who was directly related to the 3rd, he would have been better to groom and train, he would have been a way better candidate.

Itchi at 13 was not that powerful you make him out to be........ He did not kill his clan by himself- he had help from either tobi or madara. He got the drop on ORO....... So what kakashi got the drop on kakuza and would have killed him but didn't because of the 5 Hearst, and yet people stated that kakauza was stronger or same level as kakashi.

Hokage isn't just supposed to be powerful. He has to have sense in judgment, make the right calls, lead his people in no matter what condition, must be just and an bias, must be smart and tactical....... So really you don't have to be a ninja to become hokage........ ITS just a plus- just make's you be a better canditate...... In this case they all seem to be stronger or equal to itachi, so then the older much wiser much expieranced is more likely to be chosen which are the listed:

Kakashi.
Gai (probably)
Asuma.
Danzo.
Yamoto.
So on and so forth

What are you not getting about what I'm saying? Forget the fact that Itachi could beat all of those people with the possible exception of Danzo if he has KA, then my entire point was that Hiruzen could wait until Itachi was a little bit older to become Hokage. Itachi didn't have a sensei, but if he had Hiruzen mentoring him, he could have been groomed for the Hokage position.
