Tobi gets no respect

I see people in my opinion overrate Tobi. I know he's a strong shinobi, I'm not debating that. But, in my book Tobi gets no respect. He was powerful because he uses an ability that makes him untouchable. To me that's a sissy move. Second, he used Madara Uchiha's reputation to instill fear into people. Third, had it not been for izanami he probably would a been dead. Fourth, if he's so powerful why does he rely on people so much. He relied on the whole akatsuki team to do his dirty work in collecting the demons, he sent the 9 tails to attack the leaf village and he couldn't even take on Minato. Afetr all that time waiting for her to give birth his plans were diverted by Minato who never met the guy. Now he's going to use Sasuke in some way as well I'm sure. I think his tactics are cowardly and he gets way too much praise by fanboys. Of course he's supposed to be powerful, he's the villain and he's trying to basically take over the ninja world. But I think just because he cant be touched doesn't make him such a great ninja. I think people who fight and actually have to worry about getting hit and dont have the sharingan to help them should get more praise.

I wanna hear someone who thinks otherwise. And please no flaming as I just spoke how I felt no taking nothing away from anyone. So answer me with facts.

He isnt overrated, but he got a OP weapon like every strong characters have; Space time ninjutsu. Also he got 7 bijuu and gedo mao in he's side, so no he isnt overrated.

EVERYONE in Naruto doesnt have their "own" power really.

Plus, Tobi is like the Godfather. Perfectly capable of utilizing the power he has, but due to the fact that he can easily take out most people, he doesnt need to, so he gets others to do it

I also think the only reason why he has kept Naruto around is to "stimulate sasuke" to get him Rinnegan.....but I thought all he cares about is Moon Eye plan....this guy contradicts himself all the time...so annoying

But I agree, that guy is a sneeky devil, most of his powers aren't actually his such as his Sharingan and Rinnegan (I mean he took them from someone else) so I agree with your points. You've put down some very good facts which I agree with so well done.

I understand that. I just always see in every thread that Tobi is overrated. I just think that he gets way too much praise for his cowardly tactics. He's using Kabuto, he's using Zetsu, he's now using Yamato. He's strong but is taken overboard on some of these threads IMO

It's too stupid to say that rinnegan and sharingan isnt he's power. It's like i'm saying that Naruto is 'nothing' without the kyuubi, or Sasuke is 'nothing' without EMS. It's manga, face it.

I would call them beasts, not demons. Also, Tobi survived the fight with Konan through the use of Izanagi, not Izanami. Furthermore, saying that Tobi didn't stand a chance against Minato is fairly silly assumption to make when the fight was one of the shortest fights we've seen.

Ultimately though, I agree that he's overated. I still like him as a character though.

I understand he's powerful. But, whether he could a gotten them on his own or not, he has the 7 bijuus because of using other people. And he can barely control them on his own.

Don't forget that Tobi also is the main villain and have the ability to control 7 bijuu at same time. In my opinion, he is either Rikudou sennin (yeah it's sick theory, but in fact that give sense) or the elder son. How should he know about Juubi? Rikudou?

Tobi can also go in ghost mode - in my opinion is the best defense. Don't take me wrong as a fanboy or something, but this is true. Every strong character are overrated in this forum, lmao.

I never said that he didn't stand a chance, read my post properly. What I said was that Minato easily messed up his plans to make Kurama attack the village. He spent all that time waiting for her to give birth and when it all goes down Minato stopped his plans quickly and easily.

I understand what you mean. I don't think Naruto would be nothing without the Kyuubi or Sasuke is weak without the EMS, I mean they got help to become as powerful as they are now, including Tobi. I'm not saying that's not fair or not right, I was just saying that Tobi's power was someone else's but he's made it his own. That's all, sorry. Yes, he is powerful, yes it's a manga fact and yes I am being stupid but it's just my opinion, sorry..

Tobi overrated?. At first i thought sasori and some other akatsuki members are underrated but im changed my mind. Tobi is the most underrated ninja ever.

How can somebody posses one rennigan, s/t abilities that surpasses 2 hokages. Imo has the best defence in the series. Also has one of the best offence in the series (his warping ability, you can be as op as hell if he warps you into another dimension, he can leave you there to stave to death.) His mastery of illusions is rather limited to out of battle feats but still a master illusionist. Then you have his 6 jinchrucki's paths who have their own unique abilities, can transform into v2 or full bijuu and use tbb, 6 tbb's. Gedo mazo and the 1 tailed demon. Then he boasts a complete izanagi

Yet after all this you get people saying he cannot defeat madara. If there is one person who can defeat madara its tobi because his power levels rivals madara. You then get nagato fans or should i say one nagato fan claiming nagato would beat him. Then you get minato fans thinking he is the same person who fought minato before the series started

No way he is underrated. I said in my post he is a strong shinobi. I hear his name everywhere, even in posts that have nothing to do with him, so there is no way you can prove he is underrated. Read the threads you'll see Tobi everywhere. you said nothing besides what I already said and just added underrated ?!? WTF
