Sakura POV
It has been 5 years since then…. I have lost my master, my friends – what I had in the Rookie nine, my senseis…. I lost those people who watched over me, who cared about me and those who helped me when I was in need… Rumours spread out about me in time… Even villagers are hesitant to receive help from me now… People have lost trust in me after that day… Everyone is hesitant… I have lost what used to be my life… Worst of all I lost Naruto… All because of one stupid mistake….

Normal POV
It was around midnight. The moonlight gleamed down on to the village below. Konoha... Surrounded and hidden by the dense, immense forest and plant-life. All was silent throughout the village. The once bustling streets were now all empty and vacant. The shops and businesses closed a long while ago, he observed. Other than occasional patrols throughout the village – everything was still. Shinobi patrolled the wall and the gate frequently. Piece of cake he thought, as he lowered his hood to cover his hair and sprang down from the tree, merging into the shadows - disappearing completely...
Up on the wall two guards met up, chatting before they exchange duties. One thing they did not see was the shadow that crept silently up the wall, across through the village towards the hokage tower….
Tsunde POV
She lay there drinking again. Trying to forget that this was the night she lost yet another person she held close to her heart….
Flashback
In front of her the papers that she still had to go through. She sighed reached across and started working again. A shadow suddenly appeared across the paper that she was working on from behind her. Immediately sobering she spun around towards the windows, ready to face and engage with the culprit. To see only air and the village below her…..
Hearing the sliding of steel behind her she twisted around to see a man… A man in the middle of the room… with his sword slid out half way… “Who... Who are you??” asked Tsunade. As if it was waiting for her to ask the question the four Anbu who were meant to protect and guard her fell… fell all around her… hitting the ground unconscious. With her eyes wild - startled she repeated the question “Who are you??”
Laughter rang across the room. Not an evil sinister laughter. Laughter full of mirth. Sheathing his sword, he continued laughing. Looking up towards her he said ”I know I have been gone awhile now Baa-chan… But really I thought you of all people will know who I am” Her eyes widened. ‘Baa-chan’ she thought only one person called her that. If this is who she thought it was he wouldn’t her – there is no doubt about that. Slowly stepping closer, she looked towards his concealed face. She could just make out the grin on his face and the tell-tale whisker marks across his face hidden in the shadows. Laughing again this time at the look on her face “Baa-chan... Im back... Im finally here… back home…” as he lowered his hood finally revealing his bright blonde hair, his bright blue eyes and smile…
Naruto POV
Laughing at the look of surprise on her face “Baa-chan… Im back… Im finally here… back home” I say finally lowering my hood and smiling at her. She rushed towards me and giving me a bone-crushing hug. Unable to breathe I struggled to get out of the death-lock. “Baa-chan….can’t breathe” I manage to mumble. She let me go so suddenly I was feeling dizzy and uneven on my feel. Finally forcusing on her, I smiled. She was smiling. Then I noticed something else – she was crying as well. “Baa-chan!! Don’t cry! Why are you crying?? What I do wrong??” I drone out worriedly unknowing of the chakra-powered fist coming at my head. The next think I knew was I was across the in a crater in the wall - dazed.
Pulling myself out of the crater, I look at the one who I thought as my mother-figure. “What was that for Baa-chan?? That hurt!” Shaking her fist at me with mock anger she smiled at me “Baka! Is that all you can say after you come to see me after all these years?? No letter or anything telling me how you have been going these years at all. Nothing at all that could indicate to that you were still alive… To top it all haven’t got a clue what you have done to my guards and looked like an imposter not a moment ago. And is that all I get when you come back??”
Smiling weakly at this he replied “Im sorry Baa-chan… I had to leave… I mean it wasn’t the right circumstances for me to stay… Even if becoming hokage was in the line… I just kept out of contact because I needed time to think about my life to sort it out. Even so I was watching over you guys – just so you know” Giving out a sigh and smiling I continued “As for the guards – they are under genjutsu. Don’t worry they’ll be ok – I just thought that it will better for us to talk to each other alone…” Looking up to see her confused I continued “I mean I don’t want anyone to know that Im back yet Baa-chan….”
Normal POV
“Naruto… Why tho? Your friends have been missing you a lot. All who knows you have been asking if there have been any information about you or even any sighting or messages at all. Not to mention two kunoichi under my command comes daily to keep up to date if anything is to come up… Where have you been Naruto??” Tsunade said giving a serious stare. Giving out a chuckle “Baa-chan… I have been here and there you know… Well I have been training a lot, but most of the times I have been traveling in the past years. Sure I have been here – watching over you, but that’s another story to tell later….”
Looking away from her he continued “As to why I don’t want to face them yet.. It not that I don’t want to see them. It’s just those two kunoichis… I know its Sakura and Hinata that you were talking about… I… I never want to see one of them….The other…. I wish to see… but I don’t know what to do…..”
