I don't even think Hiruzen have a fanbase for these reasons:

1.) He is 70 yrs old

2.) He isn't charismatic

3.) He isn't getting any hype in part 2

4.) He died in part 1

5.) His Jutsu are almost ordinary



The reason we are siding with Hiruzen is because this is canon, reality, fact and stated by Kishimoto himself. Otherwise,

You are joking right, the current kages are all weak compared to pervious generations. Hashirama is the only one who can defeat Madara. All 5 kages now are struggling against Madara he wasn't even going all out.

The only current Kages that are weaker than the previous Kages of there respected villages are:
Tsunade
A
Mei


Gaara and Oonki are stronger than the previous
Gaara now is most likely stronger than the 3rd Kazekage


Hashirama and the Kages of his time couldnt beat Edo Madara either

And yet this generation still have a chance at winning

i give props to the person who made this thread i dont care who says that hashi is stronger or hiruzen is stronger the fact is untill we see a full fight of the both of them in there prime for any of us to compare then they are equal

ffs what did hashi use...if you think that lose was a measure of his strength then gtfo...he is stronger than tsunade...can heal without seals...mokuton clones ...bod...flower pollen thing...secret scroll with jutsus that havent been mentioned yet ...you know what wait for a hashirama flashback should come soon then will knock you off your highhorse...that lose doesnt mean nothing for both hiruzen and hashi hell even tobirama he never used edo tensei..or s/t ...for the best water user he didnt use alot of water..would the fight have been full on and orochimari actually fighting ..pervy old 3rd would have died without sealing shit....and understand had that happend what would the story be? Huh. I never included Hiruzen vs EMS Madara.

hashirama sealed kurama in mito after hashirama beat madara. ems madara is on a much higher level than hiruzen. if hashirama can beat madara then he can beat hiruzen. not all of the fights in naruto are matchups. hashiramas power was a myth so people obviously did not believe in his strength and would rather believe hiruzen was the strongest. this concept is not very hard to grasp. you are in denail.
