Ok this is gonna sound odd. I'm going to set down a bunch of scenarios completely at hand of my favorite character in Naruto series, Orochimaru. And I'll raise the question on how serious did the plot guide us off them and maybe what might be the next and final revelation on Orochimaru and Kabuto work. Maybe even a possible identity for Tobi. So as I said this will start off weirdly but will eventually conglomerate in something concrete, meanwhile please bear with me.
So let's see if we can find a character that had both means, knowhow and opportunity to do all of this:
- Clone Hashirama;
- Clone Madara;
- Transplant and modify DNA;
- Possess a body that is compatible with himself;
- Has unlock major portions of the Uchiha Stone Scripts;
- Has the belief that through Senju DNA an Uchiha might unlock Rinnegan;
We all know the answer to this one, right? So why the hell did Orochimaru waste all that time, since he first trampled onto Itachi as his partner, waiting for Sasuke to develop? Why didn't he simply made all of the above combined and enter an half Madara/half Hashirama's body? Plot hole? Or simply plot need? Granted that the story might have been severely different,but the truth is that all of that was at his hand and Kishi give him the means, the know how and the opportunity. He just did not made the one who had it all figured out go for it.
Unless! What if Kishi did? What if Orochimaru or any other Orochimaru (fairly intelligent, well informed and spineless ambitious lunatic) went just as far as Orochimaru did and a little further?
Who else has Hashirama's and Madara's legacy, knows shit loads about medical ninjutso and transplants and DNA, the Uchiha's scripts, Rinnegan and all of that?
Oh yes, that guy... Peter Griffin!!! No.. or is it? Who else is no body, because he might be several? It seems to be a pathological thing amongst the very bright minds in Narutoverse that they have a complete lack of knowledge of who they are.
Either way I wanted to raise more questions than the ones I can answer. Only time would tell us what is it the full picture is. But as we look onto the series we rarely have seen Kishi granting so much to a character and then not making use of that potential. So it really makes you wonder if he let the easiest, safest and surest of all paths to success slid through at least 3 brilliant scientific minds or could it be...
Your thoughts.
