Im really really big on philosophy and finding answers to things. And It took me a while to figure this out, but I've come to realize that we live In a generation that simply does not give a ****. Does this speak for everyone In this generation? No, it doesnt. But the majority outrule the few. But does that make us bad? It does kinda, but its human nature. We dont want to not give a **** about something on purpose, we just naturally dont. Thats why people who actually care about things are considered weird or "strange" when actually what they are doing should be considered the norm. For example, 3rd world countries (starvation, famine, poverty, etc.) there are people who would kill who would take life just to eat the food that we waste DAILY. The same slice of pizza or the same drink we just wasted, or ate w/o being hungry just for the hell of it, someone would have died for that Im not even joking. But how is that wrong? What are we supposed to do? Put on a cape and fly over to everyone who is starving and save their life? NO, we cant. By the time you save 100,000 lives 1,000,000,000 would of died by then. So that was just an example. But anyway when It comes to things like this what can we do about it? The answer is NOTHING. So what do we do to adapt to the fact of knowing that we cant do anything? We simply just say "who gives a ****?" or "I really dont ******* care" We may not say this with our tounge but our spirit and actions imply this (and actions speak WAY louder than words). If you think we are going to be In a world were everyone prospers and strives, then you are DEAD wrong. Where there is light (greater good), there is shadow(greater evil) ALWAYS. One cannot co-exist w/o the other ( this is a metaphor for the world we live In) We are trying to change and alter things that are inevitable. We are trying to escape, to cover up things that are impossible to cover up and escape. And we simply cannot do that. I believe that selfishness is not something that is evil, its who we are as human beings natrually, weither we realize it or not.
