[Discussion] Biggest contributor towards this war

I believe that itachi is the biggest contributor, and quietly the smartest and best ninja around right now in the ninja world. He has almost singlehandedly had the biggest impact on this war and if he succeeds, which itachi always does, will be a quiet hero towards the ninja alliance.
To start, ill go back to his contributions towards naruto. When he gave naruto the shisui eye, itachi talked to naruto. Being the super genius he is, understood that naruto was in a place in his life where naruto wasn’t completely sure if he should stay on his path or not. Itachi asked naruto the question naruto did not want to face, if sasuke were to attack konoha, would naruto be able to kill him. Nartuto made a strong decision, being a wiser ninja he understood the importance of killing and protecting but held on to his convictions and said he will save sasuke no matter what. Later naruto recalls that discussion and tells sasuke that they will both have to die if sasuke continues on his path to destroy konoha.
Then, when fighting nagato, itachi sees that naruto is still on his path, but trying to shoulder everything on his own. Talks to him again and makes naruto realize that he is not perfect, all powerful, and has to rely on his friends and the alliance in order to win. It was because of them that naruto became a great ninja, and it will be because of them that naruto will become supreme kage, my personal thought.

Itachi is about to end the edo, with ending the edo he will strike the biggest blow towards tobis army, taking away his most powerful allies right now, mainly being madara, and making it so that all that’s left is tobi and the weak zetsu. don’t get me wrong, zetsu is an amazing sensor ninja, but that’s about it anymore, the rest of his abilities can be dealt with fairly easy.
When it comes to kabuto, itachi is about to take out the other fighting force tobi has, and kabuto is a big player in this war. Even without his edos, he is one strong mother fer. Itachi however outsmarted him and during this, he is taking care of sasuke, helping guide him in a proper direction. It might not be complete without narutos talk no jutsu, but I’m pretty sure there will be a flashback later of sasuke and itachi talking that helps seal the deal.

I personally think that not one ninja in the ninja world right now could take on itachi. Itachi has the ability to read the battle like a chess board, find a weakness and goes for it. I don’t belies he is much of a team player, only because he doesn’t want to look after anyone, but one on one head to head no one can take him. Both kabuto and tobi have said that itachi is brilliant. He broke free from kabutos edo, a feat that not even madara is capable of.

Obviously Kabuto set the standard for Team Tobi. Itachi may have been the greatest source of help on the Alliance-side(We don't even know that for sure yet), but he can't match the Edo Tensei.

I dont think itachi will make any significant contribution....there are hardly few edo ninjas left....& I dont think madara will just vanish off without doing something significant, & especially,without being defeated....which none of us wants.

Itachi is one of the main contributors for sure, first of all he helped defeat Nagato who would have captured both jinchuuriki and doubtless created much havoc in the battlefield, plus he helped Naruto realise his mistakes. Whether he has really defeated Kabuto or not remains to be seen...

But you ruined it in the last paragraph; Kabuto,Tobi,EdoMadara, Naruto and Sasuke can all take on Itachi one on one. don't forget that without naruto and bee, itachi wouldnt have defeated nagato, and neither would he have taken out kabuto w/o sasuke.

Fair enough, so if and when he does. haha, just wanting to hear opinions. Maybe i just became a fanboy, dang, im gonna go hang myself and draw itachis sharingan on my eyelids so everyone knows this was all from a genjutsu, he made me write it.

Itachi could not have done the things He did, if not for the gift He gave Naruto for Sasuke that let Him break free from Kabuto control. Also Naruto single handily defeated the Zetsu and Edo running all over the fields.

You could however argue that on the good side itachi has done more, more so than naruto who has done alot. Reason why id pick itachi over naruto though is that although naruto has done more in terms of going around the battlefield and helping out, itachi has done more in the sense that he has contributed to the most important battles.

The whole point of the war was to protect the 2 jins and at one point the war wouldve ended if the jins were caught, but itachi was the one to save them. he then went further and sealed nagato with the help of bee and naruto. Sealing nagato further adds to his feats because edo nagato wouldve wrecked havoc.

Then he has stopped the edo tensei user and is in the middle of ending the technique. Madara cannot be defeated in a fight, the only way to defeat him is by indirect means and thats ending the technique, madara is too strong the kages cannot defeat him. This further establishes him as the person who has contributed the most on the good side. Add the fact that he is acting as a konoha shinobi who is still hated this further makes him the person who has contributed the most on the good side

EDIT: ending edo tensei will also weaken tobi because his jins are edo's therefore it makes life easier for naruto and co to beat tobi now

I really think that could be up for discussion. One on one, he has amazing abilities to break down a fighter, find a weakness, and destroy them. He was watching out for both bee and naruto during the fight with nagato, i dont think he would have needed help but decided to fight along side, well didnt really have a choice. But he figured out the weakness towards the moon thing, right. He has figured out how to get a genjutsu on kabut who in sage mode doesnt need eyes. He figured out tobi way long ago, and even put naruto in his place to understand that he cant shoulder it all himself.

I would say Tobi, Bassically all the events that has lead up to and in this war, has in some way a connection to tobi. I cant wait to see who he is.

you know i dont think so. If tobis side were to win then for sure, but because the good side will win, all of their contributions mean nothing. Without itachi, ninja alliance wouldn't have won, pure and simple. so, biggest contributor

I agree with both of you, it depends on how you look at it. contributing towards the war or contributing in the war. makes a big differance in who it is. IMO
