Art is art is art. Plain and simple. As a fellow artist, it matters not where the canvas lay but the intentions and dedication it takes to make it bloom. The primary gift us humans were endowed is the gift of adaption. If we ourselves cannot adapt then as artists we have failed. Our art is supposed to move us to new boundaries and venture forth into new horizons. Staying behind only leads to ruin, where very little have been able to stay alive.
Getting mad over something inevitable is futile and not worth wasting precious energy which could be better spent using our gifts of the arts. If they want to squander their gifts on GFX then allow them to do so. They are only pursuing their interests as you yours. Don't hinder OUR progress as we are only doing what pleases us.
I am fully aware of that. I didnt say all, I said the
majority (about 85%). A majority of Digital artist do not choose digital media as their canvas because their intentions are pure and honest, they choose it because its easier, quicker, and more versatile than traditional means. They only go by what will look the coolest, or what will be the most popular with the mass of viewers.
It is obvious that digital art has won the preference of viewers. And on second note there is no form of art whatsoever. The "artist" isnt drawing, painting, etc, a damn thing.
The Computer (sofware/hardware,etc) is doing ALL of the work.
You are just simply controlling what you want the computer to do, and how you want it done.
There is a difference between adaptation, and just completely stripping & polluting something. You can only change and manipulate something so much untill you reach the point where it is no longer what it originated as.
I am aware that the extinction of traditional artist (those who want careers as traditional artist) is inevitable, thats the point of me making this thread in the first place.
