Remember when popular music used to have a semi-deep meaning in their lyrics? When Nikki Minaj raps one word comes to mind, idiocy.

With auto-tune, almost anyone with a pretty face can make music now. If an artist is not attractive, they're often not popular. With auto-tune, music corporations can pick up any attractive girl or boy with a mediocre singing talent (not bad singing talent like Rebecca Black, technology hasn't advanced that far yet) and turn them into a money making machine. For example Justin Bieber

I think music started to go to hell when auto tune was invented

Auto-tune is okay for people like T-Pain who use it like an instrument. Kanye is just sad.

You went on a Nicki Minaj website hoping to find something that made sense? Yeah, the music industry is really suffering right now, but there are still some artist that actually give a ****; you just gotta know where to find them.

This. I hate when people say all of today music sucks, just because you're listening to crappy music doesn't mean all of the current music is crappy.

I think I was born in the wrong time period. I would've liked to be born in maybe 1935. Too young to go to WWII, but could still experience the greatness of that time and the following times. I don't like this generation and people like Nikki Minaj are why. Before Frank Sinatra, now Justin Bieber. Much more bad music than good music today.
