Trunks has radiant, gold hair, bluish teal eyes and light, tanned skin. He often wears a blank, tank top under his purplish blue jacket and over the jacket hands a strap which is connected to the sheath of Trunks sword which was passed down to him by Gohan. To go with the shirt and jacket is Trunks' gray pants and golden boots.
Personality
Trunks grew up with without a father hence takes on qualities from his mother. He is precautions as to what is going to happen and believes he knows what is going to occur in the distant future which he is always right about in the long-term. Once believing in a certain event, he takes no interest in others as he believes they are only significant to what is truly important for himself and his friends. He shows respect to whomever he has trained under and his family members. Molded in a dark time when war had taken place, he is a very serious and determined ninja. Just like his unknown father, he is very cocky when holding the upper hand but the cockiness instantly dissolves when truly facing danger. Trunks is calm during battle and doesn't perform any careless mistakes at all. Outside of battle, Trunks is well-mannered and polite.

Background Info.
History
Trunks was born in the Land of Iron without a father. His father was a great samurai and his mother was a loving and caring soul but unfortunately for Trunks, he was born under the time period of an ongoing war. His father had to leave Trunks at the age of four to fight for the Land of Iron. At that time, the Land of Iron had no longer remained neutral and grew into a strong army, enough to fight on par with the shinobi world. Trunks' dad managed to survive the war, heck he was a hero. He and a small group of samurai was left in the southern battlefield but yet, they won. The samurais kept on telling the people how Trunks dad was the one who remained strong-willed that the Land of Iron would win and kept the group of samurai's spirits well-alive.
Trunks' dad, on the other hand, grew weary and tired. His body was aching after days of fighting and the war still hasn't ended. One day, Trunks dad went to fight even though he knew he did not have the strength too. Trunks tried to stop him but he did not listened. It had turned dark and Trunks' dad still had not returned. A knock on the door and Trunks answered it. Trunks' mom noticed the few men that came and asked Trunks to go to his room but Trunks did not and stayed in the corner, peeping at his mom and the few men. The men gave Trunks' mom a katana and money but she started crying. Trunks knew exactly what happened. Trunks' dad died.
That night, Trunks thought long and hard in his room. "Why did Dad do it...Why...". Trunks told himself lies to keep himself happy but he knew he couldn't run from the truth. A year later, the war had subsided and the Land Of Iron had managed to win the war with the aid of allied countries. The Land Of Iron decided it was time to go back to a neutral state for it to recover its losses. Thousands of samurais have died for the Land Of Iron, including Trunks' dad.
Trunks was out in the streets and noticed women and children of all kinds crying. All the same reason as Trunks. Trunks' heart started aching. He couldn't take it. He fell to his knees on the icy cold snow-covered floor and slammed his clenched fist onto the ground. He then decided...he'll carry out his father's will. To become a great samurai and protect the Land of Iron. That was exactly what happened. He grew up to be an extremely skilled samurai just like his father did.

Trunks always carries his sword with him in the same manner as in some of the pictures where it is shown that the sword is strapped to his back. His samurai katana is strapped to his side and both weapons are easily assessible for use.
The Will of His Father
Trunks intends to carry out his father's legacy till the very end and show the world his prowess. He believes his father must have loved the way of the Samurai if he even died here, fighting for the Land of Iron. This allows Trunks to go through pain, cuts and bruises won't be able to stop him and minor injuries won't slow him down all to protect the Land Of Iron till the very end.
