First of all i am a fan of most of the characters and don't support any one of them.
Those of you who think that naruto is quite weak in base form are quite wrong. He is strong in base form and talented as well. Now let me explain it you kindly...

1. Naruto has very few techniques.Yes? Well No. Here's the list:

First of all the rasengans formed by naruto really vary aside from the names. Reasearch on them if you want. Like Wind release Rasengan is the strongest rasengan. Most of his techniques are original and very effective.

2. Naruto is talented because when Naruto was learing nature transformation Yamato noted that adding one's chakra element with the Rasengan takes an incredible amount of skill, or rather natural talent or instinct. Basically the series doesn't focus on it but naruto is talented and that's why naruto has increased his strength and abilities by much far in 3 and a half years.

3. If we include his sage abilities. He would defeat orichimaru and jiraya boss(individually). If we include kuram's power he would defeat them both ofcourse-faster than Minato and very strong (tailed beast power).

Kurama has never syncronised with someone else but Naruto because even he believes that Naruto is the child of Sage's prophecy.

So other abilities include:-

Umm you realize some of the tech's you listed for his base he only used in tailed beast chakra mode right? LIke the mini rasen shuriken...and i dont recall him using the shadow clone shuriken before...and frog Kata and stuff was used only when he was in sage mode.

I think that Naruto is chunin rank in base. And most of the techniques there are just rasengan variations. And he's unable to use a lot of them in base mode.

Wait...so your saying that HE WILL use them...not that he has used them? And if he's never used them or shown that he CAN use them in base form...THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT HE CAN?!! If Kishi didn't make him do it yet then it means he most likely can't! but you can't just ASSUME that he can and will be able to. That's just retarded.

In his base form, he could very well take out weaker Akatsuki like Zetsu, Konan (no six billion tags prepared), Hidan (maybe), and a few others. I agree that he isn't weak.

But if you make a list and put him in your top three, then I always include all his abilities. I find no need to put a list where it says this for example...

2. Tobirama
3. Naruto (BM).

The (BM) isn't necessary. Obviously it's with this ability that puts him up there.

Obviously Naruto can only compete with these people using one of his transformations. It's not needed to let others know this. It makes it seem as though you are separating him from his power and that this power is temporary.

Naruto took on a tailed beast in Part I. The level he fought Sasuke at in Part I was wayyy beyond a basic Chunin. He's at least a very well-known Jonin in his base form. Just by the fact that he's mastered an elemental manipulation, AND can use A-rank techniques like Multiple Shadow Clone and Rasengan.

Kakashi himself told it when he defeated Kakusu and that was before Naruto learned to through his s-rank nature transformation (rasenshurikan) with high density. Fact: Do you know after throwing Rasenshuriken it can cross many mountains in seconds. He has now mastered wind style nature transformation which requires extreme talent, skill and natural instinct at any age. He is more profecient with shadow clones than any character in the series(no doubt). He is mid strong and quite fast. He knows frog fu(counter against taijutsu) and has immense chakra.

I don't think this is Base Mode Naruto as it involves the power of the Kyuubi. Although, I'm not really sure what "Base Mode" means. Does "Base Mode" mean powers which Naruto can do by himself without any external help (e.g Chakra from Kyuubi)?

then sasuke who mastered 2 affinity is super extremely talented ?
master fire affinity when he was 7-8 then lighting when he was 12-13 xd
