When did sasuke surpass Kakashi?

When sasuke was born that's when he surpassed Kakashi

I disagree that Sasuke surpassed him at the beginning of Shippuden/during Deidara fight.

Kakashi at the time could do more or less what Sasuke could to counter Deidara's bombs.

Has Sharingan that can see chakra, so the C4 Garuda isn't doing much to him either.

He had Kamui by that time, and as overused as it is, he could theoretically counter the final explosion before it got too big by warping Deidara to another dimension.

Kakashi has lightning element, so he can defuse bombs.

Kakashi was or is more intelligent than Sasuke was, meaning he could analyze Deidara much better. Sasuke displayed genius, but it is not out of the norm for Kakashi to also interpret Deidara's techniques.

Deidara also showed reluctance to fight Kakashi.

When? All what i've seen was Kakashi in perfect shape, when Sasuke was blind. Is that a victory?

when he obtained ems. sasuke was having difficulty when he fought kakashi while going blind. Now that he has eternal light, kakashi would lose. imo

He had difficulty cuz he was going blind n he fought 5 kages a bunch of samurais n two jounin. If it wasnt for tht sasuke would have killed kakashi.

Even if he wasn't at his best, he wasn't weakened that much, and his mainly problem was that he could get blind quickly. You say he keep up with Kakashi but is not Sasuke the same one who keep up with Naruto later? Does a weak one could use Susanoo and arrows, finish a full Susanoo(when he couldn't even do that against Danzo), use chidori at high speed against Naruto later?

i dont think he was out of chakra but just had many wounds but i think he still felt the effects of the earlier battle when he was healed

Have you even seen the fight correctly? He difused that nanobombs thanks to chidori and kakashi can also use that. He used chidori on his body. You can see it here:

For the second image, why will he need to do that if he can simply avoid it?

I don't think he was wounded. When karin heals you, wounds disappear as well. Just look at this:

And what makes me believe he wasn't even wounded after that is that he didn't even healed himself after that fight. He was only sitting down and waiting the time to be familiar with his EMS and begin to fight like we see currently.

When he got the EMS. The first-use of MS Sasuke was still inferior and by the time he was done with Danzo he was practically blind so he wouldn't have lasted long. Perfect eye-sight post-Danzo Sasuke would be better than Kakashi but considering the fact that he was almost blind I'll say that he didn't truly surpass him until he had the EMS.

I'd say when he defeated Deidara. Both Naruto and Sasuke have defeated Akatsuki members of notable power. Naruto beat Kakuzu, high power and experience, and Pain/Nagato, powerful doujutsu user. Sasuke beat Deidara, high power and crazy jutsu, and Itachi, powerful doujutsu user. And before you say that Itachi wasn't going for the kill, remember that neither was Nagato...

Point is both Naruto and Sasuke seemingly surpassed Kakashi when they defeated their first akatsuki members.

sasuke was just lucky that he had an elemental advantage over deidara, thats it. although he does mention he had a back up plan in case chidori didnt work it was never elaborated on :shrug:

Sussanoo seems like it would be overwelming for Kakashi, but your underestimating him. He fought against tailed beasts and stood his ground. That arrow from Sasuke is hard to beat, but Kakashi is the Master at Silent Killing Techniques. His shadow clone technique is great and first Sasuke will have to find the REAL Kakashi to kill him. Kakashi's lightning blade can cut a lightning bolt, I'm sure it can damage Sussanoo. Also his Kumai technique could send sasuke to another dimention if he HAD to use it on him. Watching the current Kabuto battle ... Sasuke is still NOT better than Kakashi. Sorry
