how come germany is extremely successful at pretty much everything they do ... from science to technology, even football

prettymuch everything german is high quality

well they have a very advanced society and most of the ppl are taken care of so that more or less all can live a fairly comfortable life

made in germany kinda sets a high standard
for example id rather have something made in germany than even us or japan

Lets not forget that they still had a giant wall splitting the country until the Reagan era..I guess once Reagan told them to tear down that wall they really worked together to bring the country to modern standards

The wall was there because half of Germany was under soviet control after WW2 and mass amount of people were trying to leave the communist half (big surprise) so the east Germans made the wall to keep people in because at the rate people were leaving the country they would have had nobody left.

I know about SU controlling half of germany, the wall was there for quite a time though..

I was saying that once they tore it down I believe that is what made Germany jump in standard in the last 25-30 years

If the wall was still there I don't think it would be this way for Germany

Yes but its like that because the wall was there. The soviets completely stripped East Germany of everything useful and everyone immigrated out of there because of how much it sucked there thats why the wall was put there to begin with because the entire work force was leaving and all that was left was the poor people.

first of all i give a crap XD

second no USA is actually a terrible place to live, its the country with the greatest differences between the poor and the wealthy and to me most of it isnt that good except NE USA, ... oh and Alaska, Canada, Australia, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, The Netherlands and many more all beat USA IMO, its also the symbol of capitalism

MY whole life I have lived in the US and I must this this country is awful. I am saving money now to move to Canada just because this country is on a fast track to collapsing. And I just found out about a facility being built to monitor every single email and social network post sent in the country, and I know they can tap any phone, use any camera, do anything they want to invade our privacy, and freedom is a joke as every year more and more of our freedoms are taken away. The economy is toast, the money is all 1 sided and big corporation owners now have everything, while everyone else gets left to barely pay their bills. America is a terrible place and I cant wait for the day I finally leave here and never come back.
