To the people saying that Hiruzen is stronger... are you stupid?! Just use logic for god sake.

Do you think Hiruzen could defeat Madara + Kurama??
And to those that keep saying Hiruzen is stronger because he "defeated" the Hashirama and Tobirama while fighting Orochimaru clearly the Hashirama and Tobirama were nerfed for the obvious reasons:

1- Orochimaru Edo Tensei wasn't perfected, Kabuto's is much better as you can see in the current manga

2- If Hashirama and Tobirama weren't fighting to their potential if they were then Orochimaru would be almost unbeatable... Wood,Water, Earth release, Space–Time Ninjutsu etc...

Not to mention that everyone wants/wanted Hashirama not Hiruzen's what does that tell you...
Just use common sense you can't rely on the manga for everything...

Also it was already mentioned on the manga by Madara, Tobi and Kabuto that Hashirama was on a different level from everyone else.

Just copying what I said before... Only because Hiruzen sealed a nerfed Hashirama and Tobirama doesn't mean he is stronger!

And like iknowwhotobiis said ...you are relying on what Iruka said...an academy teacher :sy:

My question is, how much strength did Hiruzen Sarutobi loose from his prime to his current condition while fighting Orochimaru. The manga claims him to be the strongest of all Kages before him.
From my point of view, if he was half the shinobi he was while fighting Orochimaru would still not be enough to par with how powerful Hasirama is.
Lets face it .We actually gauge both characters by how powerful their opponents are since not much information are shown for both(Hiruzen on his prime and Hashirama)

Hashirama Senju Vs. Madara Uchiha
We all can see how powerful Uchiha Madara is.This gives us an idea of Hashirama Senju's capabilities.

Sarutobi Hiruzen Vs. Orochimaru
One of the Sannin. Was considered a possible contender for the Hokage title by Sarutobi himself.

If Hiruzen is the strongest(powerful,best,greatest) Kage the leaf ever had,then it is easy to say that his strength had a great decrease from his prime state.*

Enma stated that his battle with oro was completely miserable (horrible), compaired to him in his prime.. BUTT he still won.

oro's edo tensei was perfect, kabuto said it himself.. Tobirama's edo tensei was imperfect..
And so what if Iruku was a academy teacher.
1. If he is a teacher then he MUST know the history of the leaf because he is teaching it.
2. he wasnt the only person to say hiruzen was the strongest. Oro, kabuto, kishi said it as well.

Show me kabuto and oro quotations stating hiruzen was the strongest?!

Iruka was an academy teacher to kids, he doesnt know who is the strongest hokage.

Kabuto (the best spy in narutoverse) said the 4th is considered a fairy tale. Obviously when people make statements regarding the 4th, they dont even consider the 1st cuz they think his power is not real. That also explain why iruka makes such statement as hiruzen is the god of shinobi... obviously SO6P is and not him... but since so6p is just a "fairy tale" no one even considers him...

Think about it. The 3rd re sealed the first two hokage, and had enough chakra left (while he was almost dying by the way he had this massaive amount of chakra to summon the reaper) and seal oro's arms. plus he pushed the 6 tails with his staff, if he didnt grant his soul to the death repear kabuto would've revived him too !. he was stronger

it was already explained by kabuto that some people are weaker when controlled by the edo tensei user. That is why hiruzen was able to solo hashi+tobirama. Tobirama did not use his S/T, hashi did not use his world tree and flower. Do you really believe that they were fighting at full strength come on now... Enma pushed the fox away i mean it was great but the third did not have the power to stop kurama... for those people saying it was not his duty that is complete bs. He loved the village he would not fool around specially when he didnt know where minato was.

Remember at the war where the five kages battle madara? i remember that he clearly said that all of them were weak compare to him and hashirama at their time so that means that hashi is stronger than all of them and they are 5. It's obvious that the five kages are definitely stronger than hiruzen. so why the hell argue? please re-read the manga.

Yes it does say it was "perfected" by orochimaru but it doesn't mean it’s was perfect when he fought Hizuren, or do you think orochimaru's its better then kabuto's, obviously not! (go read page 19 chapter 489, Kabuto says his Edo Tensei surprasses his previous users)

Like I said before if it was a perfect then explain why the 1st and 2nd didn't use their best techniques.

Correction, we have never seen an official and canon fight of Hashirama and Madara. Only a non-canon OVA from Generations. Additionally, with all the evidence I provided in my previous posts, it does clearly show his superiority and ability to fend off two edo-tensei Kages, and Orochimaru. Also, as I stated before, he went easy on Orochimaru out of pity, and had a hard time unleashing his full potential out of pure respect for the past Kages. You are correct, he was not in his prime, if he would have been, with the lack of pity, he would of wrecked Orochimaru. Even with his (possibly) weaker disposition, he still held back, costing him his life.

Now Look at madara said to them. So this means that eventhough the 5 kages combined their power are nowhere near hashirama, so that means hashirama is stronger that hiruzen.
