After reading your whole reply I have come to the conclusion that you are an idiot. We have seen nothing of Hiruzen prime so what you are relying on calling him the best is hearsay. I will repeat that the first can control tailed beast. Hiruzen watches them destroy the village. The only fight we have seen him really in is Orichimaru in which he didn't really have any impressive justus. The First hokage's and Madara fight was so epic that they have there own separate statue. We have not heard of the 3rd hokage fight anyone else or even mentioned in shippuden however we still hear and see the effects of the 1st hokage. Anyone see people try to get a hold of Hiruzen's cells didn't think so.

Not an stupid statement at all. Everyone wanting the first cells are for the plot not because he is the strongest. He is the closest to the sage of six paths. Plus has anyone seen the fight between him and madara or is it all what we been hearing and that story has changed so many times. Hiruzen is the strongest. how could you argue that when he beat the first in edo form in his prime along with his brother. Oh an he is so good he didnt need a jutsu to do it lol he did it with paper explosives. Pretty impressive if you as me

Well Minato didn't even deal with the fox. The third and the leaf shinobi took him on while Minato dealt with Tobi. And yes Hiruzen is the strongest to grace the naruto world. I mean he did kill the second and first hokage twice in that fight and almost killed Oro too. Can't disagree with facts.

I just want you to know that i agree with you 110%, but the hashirama fanboys dont consider him beating the first and second kages a real accomplishment.. just like tobi's fanboy's dont consider naruto beating 5 tailed beast because tobi withdrew them.. smh

He indeed was strong he was chosen to be the 3rd when he was only a child.
And fought both 1st and 2nd hokages and didn't lose at all. But...

There is no true measure of the abilities of Hashirama in this fight, Being basically a puppet of Orochimaru. If this was a show of any true potential, then even Tenzou has shown greater skill in using mokuton. if this was hashirama and Tobirama as when they were alive, it is clear Hiruzen would not have been able to stand his ground. In addition, if he were as badass as the term 'god' might suggest, i dont think he would have had to go as far as to use dead demon seal technique.

my point is the third could never control creatures as strong as tailed beast just cause your dumb doesn't make it a bad example.

i think your missing the part when they said he was the god of shinobi in his prime, not till the day he died.. but old hiruzen > oro, edo 1st hokage, and edo 2nd hokage.. a edo is a edo no matter whos controlling them.

Sarutobi when saw Kurama told everyone to wait for Minato... If he was such a strong old man as you say then he would be useful helping Minato handling Kurama and maybe, just maybe Naruto would have his parents alive...

The discussion is Hashirama vs. Hiruzen, not Minato. Although Minato vs. Hiruzen in their prime I'd say the old man takes it.

Hashirama, Tobirama and Orochimaru vs. Hiruzen and Enma. Hiruzen at the age he was and he still took down two Hokage and smashed a Sannin. Hands down, Hiruzen is the GOD.

Yes the story has changed many times yet many people are basing hiruzen being the strongest off one line in the first naruto. In addition people seem to think that because he used the reaper death seal on the 1st and the 2nd while they were being controlled he is stronger than them. How you people think the 3rd hokage is even close to the first I will never understand.

Madara was beaten by hashirama, the same person it is taking 5 kages to fight right now. Besides sharingan, hashirama's cells are the most sought after free power up item in the naruto world. its clear he was just on another level. There is no denying the third was quite powerful. We still continue to learn about hashirama and his abilities, mokuton, fast healing, insane strength etc, so far i dont see anyone in the manga belittling his name or viewing hiruzen on the same level as him.

Oro talisman made his edo'd mindless killing machines, while kabuot let them keep there personality..

LEt's not forget.. Hiruzen still had a soft spot for Orochimaru.. hence he didnt go full power!! And controlled or not.. HE STILL TOOK DOWN THE FIRST AND SECOND HOKAGE.. Pain was considered a 'god' at Amegakure too( i could argue that the term would make a beter fit in his case), he still got beaten by naruto. And there is really nothing that shows or says hiruzen was more powerful or skilled than Hasirama. besides we are still learning about Hasirama. Thats the problem with the Edo in the first place (specifically Orochimaru's), being controlled.

Your point being? Regardless of having personality or not if someone uses reaper death seal there isn't much you can do about it. The fact that he had to use the reaper death seal just proves that he couldn't actually beat both the kages together.

Think about what your saying.. They are Edo's, how else are you getting rid of of them other then sealing them.. and by using reaper seal he could make sure no1 else could summon them and he had planned to kill oro too.. It was actually a great plan..

Hiruzen is the strongest of the Hokage mainly because of one thing... ENMA!!

The 3rd Hokage is unbeatable when he's fighting using the ENMA Staff. With it, Hiruzen tossed the Kyuubi outside konoha like a rag dog.

Without it, there's no way Hiruzen can stop Hashirama's Mokuton.
