Itachi.

Mei has strong Ninjutsu, but it seems she lacks in Taijutsu and we haven't seen any Genjutsu from her.

Edit: Fail. Thought of the wrong person. Real answer in my next post.

It's not Mei  It's the 2nd Mizukage, Muus rival.

This is very interesting . I can't actually decide who would win, I'm fairly positive that Itachi could defeat the clam with Susano but I don't think he could keep Susano up long enough to defend against the Mizukage's bomb technique. Therfore I say Mizukage wins

Oh, the Genjutsu guy with the Clam?

He would be trouble. It would be an awesome Genjutsu battle, but Itachi wins.

I'd say 2nd Mizukage. I love that guy! Even though he was an Edo, he technically WAS taking on multiple current kages at once. And his oil body is unique. His genjutsu is a 5/5 if you ask me, and he's not even an Uchiha!

In the end, I'd say Mizukage would win, just because I feel Itachi would eventually run out of chakra using MS and Susanoo, which I think Mizukage would be able to dodge.

Only way I see Itachi winning is if he uses Izanami and go blind.

Now this is an interesting battle. We aren't sure how a sharingan would fare against that genjutsu, especially one so skilled in genjutsu already.

Not even considering Itachi's genjutsu counter (which probably wouldn't work here), he might be able to see the clam still, because the sharingan can see chakra.

Anyway I think it all depends on how Itachi reacts to that genjutsu. If he can't see through it, the 2nd Mizukage wins. If Itachi can see through it, he can easily dispatch the second mizukage in a real fight.

Edit: Just a thought, what if Itachi used a finger genjutsu on the Mizukage? That way they would both be in genjutsus and neither of them could do anything about it?

I think this level of genjutsu is too weak to be able to work on the Mizukage. It's as if you say that the genjutsu Kakashi used on Sakura could work against him. It worked against Naruto just because he was weak against genjutsu and inexperimented.

Anyway, i'm happy to see that my thread is so interesting. I also thought that when i made it. :D

Hmmm you raise really good points that I overlooked, but how do you think Itachi would fair against Jouki Boy or whatever it's called?

I believe that his finger genjutsu was also what worked on Orochimaru. Remember that Itachi was faced the other way when Orochimaru was about to attack him.

Either way you do realize that the Mizukage himself isn't skilled at genjutsu, it is his summons right? Just like how Jiraiya can't do a genjutsu to save his life but his summons can do an amazing genjutsu.

Itachi would be able to track it with the sharingan, and obviously he could survive it with Susanoo, but I think his best bet would be to attack the real Mizukage, as using a fire jutsu would just heat up the oil inside of the Jouki boy. (unless it is Amaterasu because that would just keep on burning until the Jouki boy was incinerated)

Either way I still think it comes down to if the sharingan can see through that clam's genjutsu.

The Jouki boy was very fast I imagine it would be hard to hit especially since it is constantly moving.

Well you also have to think who the opponents were when the Jouki boy was fighting. Gaara and Onoki.

Onoki is a very old man with a bad back, and Gaara is someone who doesn't move at all. Gaara's main weakness is speed.

Itachi on the other hand was fast enough to at least keep pace with KM Naruto (though KM Naruto was also trying to talk to him).

But still I don't think he would go after the Jouki boy, I think he would go after the real Mizukage, as the sharingan can see chakra, and so even if he was hiding he could see where he is.

- I don't think it was a finger genjutsu he did against Orochimaru, but an eye-to-eye genjutsu. When Orochimaru is caught in the genjutsu, you can clearly see Itachi facing him looking at him.
- How do you know Mizukage isn't skilled himself at genjutsu? He said he is a skilled genjutsu user here:

As long as Itachi can see through the genjutsu with his Sharingan then he could make short work of the clam with Susano

Itachi has no way of finding the clam. Even if he did he has pretty much no way to hurt the Mizukage and his water body. To defend against Joki Boi he'll be forced into Susano'o not only on account JB is too fast for him--if he's forced into Susano'o the little 'infinite explosions' tidbit will keep him there until he's physically unable and he'll lose one way or another.

Stomp for Mizukage imo.
