I don't know if I should even respond to this. This was easily the most pointless essay I have ever read. The fact that you use plot no jutsu as an excuse basically to ignore anything you disagree with. Your "proof" was just a bunch of random links that didn't actually prove anything. Base Sasuke w/ sharingan is easily a high jonin, he was able to completely pwn team 7 at the beginning of part 2, and Oro said 3Tail Naruto wasn't even in the same league as Sasuke, he beat Deidara, his genjutsu was able to take out C-who is a genjutsu user, and a sensor, he was able to keep up with the raikage for a while, broke tsukiyomi, pushed Itachi to using susanoo. All before even getting MS.
The only reason Deidara could break out of Sasuke's genjutsu was because he trained in eyes in genjutsu after Itachi beat him when he was younger.
You don't come to your conclusion by being logical, even when I used to be a Sasuke hater I didn't argue he was weak >.>.

I dont understand how people are arguing with the OP... this is just childish. Sasuke relied on his team way to much and really did just spam his MS techniques. He was basically blind by the end of the summit and really didnt do anything impressive. I was more interested in watching the Kages fight then Sasuke just standing there taking the damage. Sasuke is over rated and I honestly think Naruto by far Superior.
Are you even listening to others arguments? or are you just assuming you're right? How many fights did Naruto or Kakashi win by himself in part2? plus Sasuke was fighting the kages, why should he hold back? The fact is he's Naruto rival, I take kishi's word over some guy on a forum.

Sasuke like every other character has a role in the manga (part of the plot) and has certain powers / traits (their ninja abilities)
Sasuke is the 2nd most important character so much of the plot is fueled by him particularly his growth (in personality & powers aka character development)
He is top level & he has not even realized his true potential

Very well put. Though I think Sasuke shows more of what was supposed to be the main story of this manga. Ninja's are ment to work in teams, to have their weaknesses made up for by their comrades strengths. I think somewhere along the lines Kishi forgot this. When Sasuke made his team I hoped that, that plot may have come back into Shippuden, but alas now all we have is Vegeta and Goku. It would have been really nice to see all the other characters coming into their own, sure we all knew Naruto would be the strongest in the end, but I hoped the huge gap between him, and his classmates, hell even his teachers, would never come to pass.

Ok fine thats your opinion, i disagree with most of your arguments. I actually read your whole essay because I cant sleep and I have nothing better to do. I am not going to write a essay in reply but just a rebuttal.
First off Kishi did not write Blood Prison, he is however writing the next one. Second of I don't like the fact that you use Plot no Jutsu as a reasoning to your arguments. I mean really? :flaw: Its fiction ALL OF IT IS PLOT NO JUTSU. If Kishi made Naruto a dancing pink hippo then so be it, that would be canon.
So what if Sasuke has a god complex, that is his personality, he is supposed to be bastard. That doesn't make him a weak character. Neji had a superiority complex against Naruto but was put in his place. Sasuke will get that in time.

Well Sasuke knew he wouldn't be able to beat Oro when he is healthy, why would he face him any other time. He would have lost his body to Oro any other time. I might ask you why is Oro going after helpless genin children to gain power?

Plot no jutsu really? More like you didn't like the ending nor do you have a better explanation. His genjutsu wasn't effective on Dei b/c, like everyone else has said, he trained to beat Itachi. It was Dei's fault for underestimating his enemy, he should have done research on Sasuke. I feel like Dei was manipulated by Tobi, so he can watch the Sasuke fight first hand.

Sasuke getting MS is kinda the same as Kakashi getting Obito's eye. Itachi made it so Sasuke can get MS. You said Kakashi worked for his MS (we really have no proof), well so did Sasuke. He severed his bonds with his friends, trained with Oro to defeat Itachi.
Sasuke is an butt hole but you gotta give him credit where he deserves and he is an S rank criminal. The only people who go up against are S rank ninjas, can you actually name a ninja below S rank that can go toe to toe with him? Madara is a powerful ninja who is spamming on Shodai cells, why cant we talk about him? Is he not a powerful ninja? He got the MS by killing his best friend and EMS by taking his brothers eyes. He has lived a lot longer than Sasuke, and I am sure with time Sasuke has the chance to be as strong as Madara with the shodai cells.
Just because Sasuke hasn't made his own jutsu does not make him weak. Leaning takes talent, and he LEARNED chidori and he made multiple variants of it. Oro was surprised to see his chidori when Sasuke attacked him, he had never seen it before. Meaning Sasuke worked on that himself.

Sasuke is little bit overrated by NarutoBase community. Sasuke hasn't won many matchs/battles, his win's were to Diedara and C.
He won against Diedara obviously because of his elemental advantage, but still the way he countered C4, summoning Manda ,that must take some skill? right. The rest he "actually" lost to(Itachi, Naruto, Danzo, Oro, Five Kages...) but won due to plot-no-jutsu, plz don't say " plot-no-jutsu If Kishi made Naruto a dancing pink hippo then so be it, that would be canon" obviously we are talking about the Sasuke in the current Naruto Manga series.

I mean you can say that you don't like Kishi's way of developing his character, which is what I am not a big fan off at the moment. The guy who made this tread was trying to "prove" that Sasuke is not strong as people make him out to be. I agree some people overrate him, but I don't that warrants people to underrate him. And how exactly did he lose to Danzo? Danzo resorted to blowing things up when he was cornered just like Dei.
Again plot no jutsu is necessary for the story, It will be kinda boring if it was just fights with no character development.
WTH All I have to say is you really researched this, made your point very thorough. I read all the way up to his speed and scrolled down to see how much more there was and was like alright I am just going to post. This was awesome but what do you think about Naruto...? because if the points are way off which we know there battle will suck.... lmao
