Super delayed I know, been busy with some stuff, anyways there you have it folks---
It’s past midnight on the road leading from Tanzaku town to Konoha in the Fire country. A chill is in the air as Naruto, Sakura and the rest of their little party walk back to Konoha after a long day of celebrating Naruto's promotion to Hokage.
Sakura: ‘Don’t worry Sakura-chan, I’ve made reservations at a hotel, we don’t have to go back to Konoha’ Idiot Naruto.
Naruto: I'm sorry Sakura-chan.
Sakura: You're still an idiot.
Naruto: I'm telling you I made the reservations!
Sakura: Really? Then why are we walking back to the village at night?
Naruto: Erm...they must have made a mistake.
Sakura: Yeah that's what you and the receptionist at the hotel were arguing about for an hour! And guess what we're still walking home!
Naruto: *Sigh*
Kiba: Sakura, that’s enough. Naruto was great today.
Chouji: Yeah, he took us to Ichiraku , then for BBQ and to Tanzaku for that awesome festival food.
Sakura: Not everyone goes bananas over food Chouji.
Lee: I would’ve have loved to stay at the hotel though. They have a gym. I wanted to surpass my 10000 record in weight lifting! 30000 record in push ups!
Ino: Yeah, but he took us shopping. That purple dress was so hot. Won't you agree Sasuke-kun?
Sasuke: Uh....
Sakura: Shut up you pig!
Ino: Jealous?
Sakura grinds her teeth at Ino as a vein is throbbing on her forehead.
Sasuke: Could you guys keep it down, it’s really late.
Sakura and Ino: Sorry Sasuke-kun.
Shikamaru: Such annoying girls, and I'm gonna have to face another annoying female once I get home for coming in so late.*Sigh*
Naruto: Hehehe well, we’re back home, there’s the gates. Goodluck
Shikamaru.
Sai: Well Goodnight you guys.
Shikamaru: Yeah, come on Chouji, Ino.
Chouji: Goodnight Naruto and thanks for everything today.
Naruto: No problem!
Ino: Goodnight Sasuke-kun!
Kiba: Shino, we’d better get going too.
Akamaru: *bark*
Hinata: Goodnight Kiba-kun, Shino-kun.
Sakura: Sasuke-kun I’ll walk you home.
Hinata: Na…Naruto-kun. Would y..you…
Naruto: I’ll walk you home Hinata!
Tenten: Lee where are you going?
Lee: I’m going to run around Konoha then go mountain climbing till dawn!
Neji: *sigh* I’ll meet you back at home Hinata-sama.
Tenten: Walk me home Neji?
Scene changes to Sakura and Sasuke walking home.
Both stroll along in silence with Sasuke simply facing ahead fully concentrated on the road and indifferent to the person standing next to him and Sakura giving him awkward glances simply at a loss for what to say. After a few minutes of deafening silence, Sakura, not wanting to miss out on the rare opportunity of spending time with Sasuke in what is considered a ‘date’ only in her head, summons the confident to speak.
Sakura: Even with Naruto’s complete screw-up at the end, I would be lying if I said I didn’t have fun today especially at the Shopping Mall. So Sasuke-kun, which part of today did you enjoy the most?
Sasuke: Uh, did you say something?
Sakura: You seem a little distracted. What’s wrong Sasuke-kun?
Sasuke: It’s just…its probably nothing but don’t you think the fog is a little too much tonight? I can barely see a thing.
Sakura: Huh? I didn’t really notice. Well, I guess….
Sasuke: Sakura get down!
Sakura is shocked but immediately obeys as Sasuke releases two shuriken from his wrists and fires them. They pass over head a confused Sakura who is even more shocked to hear the sound of the shuriken clashing against something metallic as well, she finally turns around to see a ninja armed with a sword.
Sakura: *thinking* Kirigakure?
Sasuke leaps over her and a taijutsu battle ensues between Sasuke and the ninja who proves himself a competent fighter as Sakura watches on. Sasuke forms a Chidori and channels it through the ground to attack the ninja. He jumps to avoid the attack but finds that Sasuke is already in front of him. Sasuke immediately disarms him of his sword and places it on his neck.
Sasuke: Don’t move.
The mist around them prevents Sasuke from properly seeing his face. Sasuke, wanting to make clear eye contact and put him under a genjutsu inches closer to him and is shocked to find out that its Suigetsu.
Sasuke: Suigetsu?!
An expression of surprise is seen on Sasuke’s face. It is only then that Sasuke realizes that Suigetsu is covered in explosive notes which have ignited and are about to blow. Sasuke tries to move backwards but finds that his feet are held by two arms that emerged from the ground. Suigetsu explodes causing mass devastation.
Sakura: Sasuke-kun!
As the smoke clears from the explosion Sasuke is shown to be unarmed, protected by his Susanoo. Suigetsu is pinned to a building with a lightning infused large shuriken. Sasuke unseals his Kusanagi from his wrist.
Sasuke: Sakura stay on guard. There are more.
Voice: Seems you managed to escape that one, but I guarantee your death in the next attack.
