This isn't a complaint thread, but just me thinking aloud and making some observations.

Yea we don't exactly know when the manga will end but if we're near the climax as Kishi supposedly stated in that interview recently,it would probably have been a lot shorter than it could have been.

I was daydreaming yesterday about how much the entire series could have been expanded and paced a little differently. Ultimately, by the end of the series Naruto could have been an adult/Hokage.

The way I see it, the Narutoverse is in too small of a sandbox.
Theres a 3 year time skip which probably should have been part of the manga.

In those 3 years, I would have made Naruto about as strong as he was after he beat Pain.

Give Naruto imperfect Bijuu mode around the time he would get to about 18-20.

And then have him learn/unlock his current version of Bijuu Mode around his early to mid 20's.

That would allow all the support characters we saw from the beginning of the series actually get more time to develop. Overall it seems like Kishi crammed all the power ups to his more important characters with too much ease without any risk.

I don't want to go on and on too much, because ultimately the story is what it is, but I wish Kishi would have drawn it out a lot more in a lot of areas.

This current war arc could have felt a lot more larger scale, instead it feels relatively small scale. We don't really get a good feel as to how long battles took. As far as we can tell only a few days have passed between when the Allied Shinobi Alliance gathered on the battlefield to now. (we only saw nightfall once)

Maybe I should create my own manga and borrow some ideas from all the great mangas and history and mythology like Kishi and others have, but just flesh it out a lot more.

Watch Anime. It fills in the gaps for what Kishi has not expanded on in the Manga. I want say all, but some points in the Manga are shown (Fillers). However, I understand though.

You say that now, but when he actually shows that you would be like "This week Manga is a bore. Where is the fighting battles coming up" or something along them lines. Kishi just wants to surprise us instead of showing all of their skills during said training. Way do that if we can see their new skills and abilities in battle. I for-one would.

It's climax, not necessary the end. As something very important is going to happen but not neccesary end the whole thing.
I mean this would be logical but God knows what Kishi's thoughts are...

agreed with everyone here...
yea the anime does expand on the manga...but i mean...even more than that

the crazy part in all of this though is I've been watching Naruto anime subbed since 2003...I've almost grown up with Naruto yet the story itself had progressed quickly in part 2 but seemed a lot slower moving in part 1

Well he could always go the Konohamaru route after this battle or he could have Orochimaru show up at the end of the Tobi saga.

Also, people still write books taking place in Middle Earth so there could be other mangas based on the Naruto world after it ends.

I agree, he could make Jinchuuriki modes like Super Saiyan transformations xd. He could've included in a ton more, but if Kishimoto decided to finish the manga...well, that would suck. We'd all be thinking about the "What ifs" and all of that. Kishimoto's done a lot of mistakes in the manga IMO. I mean, where's Sakumo at? He should be in the war. Where's the taijutsu? He's made Naruto into more of a powerhouse manga, not really a ninja one anymore. I mean, yeah it's cool either ways, but I don't see the ninjaness in the war anymore, maybe apart from Kakashi and Darui's division.
