Madara let the 1st defeat him?

I tryed to picture the way this battle would go over and over and I still haven't found a way to defeat Madara.

1st had his darkness jutsu which would blind Madara(not blind him but he couldn't see him in the dark), but Madara could still use Susanoo to defend himself.

There are waaaay to many advantages a EMS user has.

He could have burned the 1st with Amaterasu, play with him with Tsukuyomi, send him to genjutsu world with Susanoo, but he still lost.

How?

I don't think that he summoned Kyuubi in that battle or any other Bijuu 'cause there would be record in Konoha database of Kyuubi apperance way before the attack on Konoha.

So, my question is:

Can it be that Madara let himself be defeated by the 1st(for some unknown reason)?

hmm i've also put a lot of thought into this battle. I think IF madara summoned kyyubi that 1st could suppress it with his wood jutsu and the 1st was'nt a push-over. I don't think he's the strongest hokage but I think he has some crazy jutsu in his arsenal that everyone would fear. plus his water jutsu beats uchiha fireball jutsu.

Shodaime is just stronger than Madara ... there is no way Madara let him win

I also thought that madara let him win cuz hes just too good for shodaime to beat him

Maybe Madara spared him but remember it shows in that manga thing that madara kills shodiame with some Fire chidori or something in his hand cuz the first blocked the attack and saved his little brother

Thiughtt:
1.)Madara was running out of time for something and had to make it seem lke he lost so they wont follow him.
2.)Spared life just like sasuke spared narutos life cuz were friends
3.)Madara put some genjutsu on second to use as a spy and left

Shodaime first u think madara let him win now u say no way madara would win

Madara is just stronger than shodaime... the only possibility is that Madara let him win

ehh i doubt he let him win cuz they were fighting over control of konoha if i'm correct and madara has the evil mind in him and wouldn't just hand over a big village like that

well i saw this thing that showed the battle even though its most likly fake
madara was pwning shodiame but the shodiame used the sealing thing unexpecdly
and got poor madara

i agree with shodaime, because every MS has different abilities, kakashi and itachi have different abilites with theirs, which means madara has some MS abilites we probly haven't even seen yet

that is the most possible reason the 1st defeated madara...

for one, madara in that time was weak. Remember that their duel is about a century (perhaps?) before naruto was born... ( or maybe a different person from the madara today....just a speculation)

second... it was told that only madara can summon bijuu...okay, we know little of their fight, but the bijuu might be madara's greatest weapon so far in that time (maybe even poweerful than his ms... bijuu is the thing here)

what im saying is...no matter how madara tries to summon such powerful beasts, its worthless if he faces the 1st. Remember that mokuton ninjutsu has the potential of controlling bijuu...so the first might have as well used the bijuu against their summoner...

My questions would be:

1. If mokuton is a jutsu inherited by yondaime's cells, why wouldn't anyone from his own bloodline receive it? Only Yamato? How about tsunade?

2. If in the manga, Madara has the power to suppress/summon the kyuubi, why wouldn't he do it instantly to fulfill his plans without trouble? Why does he have to hunt them down? (or maybe madara is not really what we think of...)

hmm now thinking even harder about it this fight probly revolved around kyuubi a LOT. cuz when he lost, he went into exile and then tried to attack konoha with the kyyubi only to be stopped once again by the 4th. then he went into exile AGAIN and created akatsuki. and akatsuki's so-so main goal is to gather bijuu and create a weapon that can't be stopped fulfilling madara's goal once and for all

imo madara and orochimaru have the same story behind them, they both lost the hokage position/control of konoha and went emo over it
