Naruto: *holding the sword up to his eyes* He sealed himself... in this sword...
Naruto kept staring at that katana. He wondered what powers it would give him. He just hoped it was different from the Fox's power, he had decided to leave if he ever harmed somebody he cared about again. He couldn't even look at himself again if that happened. Something about that sword made his heart beat fastly. Hope. A new power that could protect his friends, without hurting them.
Fukasaku: Indeed. His spirit lies inside that weapon. That is why it is our most sacred object.
Naruto: So...and about the training.
Fukasaku: I thought you would ask that.
Naruto: Yeah well, I have no idea on how to use a katana while fighting. And this sword is really heavy. There's no way i'll be able to carry this in a battle.
Fukasaku: Those are questions to ask the person who will train you. I am no longer responsible of your training anymore. As I've said, Kaeruzan will be your master now.
Naruto: Yeah, I forgot to ask. How on earth can he train me?
Fukasaku: Naruto, Kaeruzan is Myobokuzan's descendant.
Naruto: What!?
Fukasaku: After he died, Myobokuzan's lineage was seen almost as royalty. They were at first the keepers of the sword and kept its secrets as well, that is what the legend says. What I know is that the other Toads began to lose their respect for them, and Myobokuzan's descendants family moved away from the Mountain. I have no idea how the Great Toad Sage had the katana, but Kaeruzan is the last of that lineage of Toads. I don't know how but he is the only one who can train you.
Naruto: When do I leave to find him?
Fukasaku: Tomorrow, when the sun rises.
That night, Naruto almost couldn't sleep. His long talk with Pa had kept him thinking for hours, asking questions to himself, wondering what the future held for him.
When he woke up, he packed his things, food, water, weapons, and Jirayia's book, The Gutsy Ninja. Naruto looked at his reflection in the mirror, thousands questions going through his mind. He put on the forehead that the Great Sage had given to him, tied the katana to his back and left the room.
He said goodbye to Pa, Ma, Gamakichi and left, jumping from tree to tree, without looking back, following the map Fukasaku had given to him.
When he arrived at the place that the map marked he looked around. There it was, the old-looking wooden caban that Pa had told him about. He knocked at the door. The door opened and there stood a toad.
Naruto was shocked. The toad was small and skinny, barely reaching his waist. He had a long white beard that reached the caban's floor, and held a small stick, that he used as a walking staff.
Naruto:*shocked* I'm sorry to disturb you sir! Do you know where I can find Kaeruzan?
Kaeruzan: *looking at the sword on Naruto's back* He he, you finally came...
What did Kaeruzan mean? How will he train Naruto?

Myobokuzan Chronicles: Kaeruzan
