ppl call amaterasu instant even if things look instant to the eye even the speed of light is not instant because it has a calculated speed everything has a speed and no one knows the speed of amaterasu and instant is not it (fanboys 0_o) yes amaterasu is fast and kirin is fast but if they are both cocked and ready to go to say which one is faster is impossible without the speed of amaterasu and again instant is not it unless u wanna say amaterasu is faster the tne speed of light and since a doged it that is not the case things tat fast cant be doged

Hmmm, good question. When the jutsu is released, they both happen in an instant. But Kirin takes longer to make, especially if the climate isn't right. Amaterasu hints at the pressure of the air for the attack. So, I'm gonna have to go with Amaterasu, due to the build-up of the jutsu.
