Which is faster, Kirin or amaterasu

Everyting you said can be coutered by two simple poits and facts from manga:
1. Preparations for Kirin are much longer.
2. Amaterasu ignites its target. Instant > speed of light. You can only dodge Amaterasu if you are fast enough to fool MS user eyesight.
i already talked about the prep time in the post i directed you to but u can read so its pointless i guess
amaterasu is instant eh so i guess mr raikage their has defied the laws of physics and moves faster then instant then

Not really, he just moves so fast that even Sharingan cant keep up.
Actually, thats just Itachi trying to "catch" Sasuke with his eyesight. MS user has to focus his eyesight on target, then target ignites, thats what both Databook and Zetsu in manga says.

The one that doesn't take nearly all the users chakra, needs an opponent to used his fire jutsus to heat of the atmosphere, and like ten minutes to prepare.

only cuz of the prep time and i already said that long ago so dont act like your saying anything special
i posted the speed of lightning already and it its faster then the body or eye could ever move under and circumstances
and no amaterasu is not instant the factt hat the eye must move and focus b4 it can be used makes it not instand and no matter what u do eye movement will never be instant so your jus as foolish as the last guy if u wanna stick by that theory
so you're factoring in the eye focusing? ok then...
lets factor in the prerequisite for kirin
for kirin to be used storm clouds must be made, which takes a heck of alot more time than amaterasu....
the sky must be heated up using fire jutsu , the person has to use their own chakra to tame the lightning, then finally kirin is cast

Time it takes Kirin to reach target= roughly equal to speed of light which is 299792458 m/s which is significants slower than no time at all.
Both are being timed from launch,not prep phase.
The prep phase for Kirin is longer too soooooooooooo.....Kirin is essentially the slower of the two. But that does not make it slow.

Really? I just tried it. I can move my eyes from right to left in an instant.
Both techniques leave some time to react - even if its just a split second. If you're the fastest Shinobi alive, with increased reflexes and speed that is too fast for the human eye to react, you can dodge Amaterasu. If you have Susanoo, which activates instantly, you can block Kirin. But due to Kirin's long preparation time and the fact that the black flames don't travel any distance but appear instantly, this goes to Amaterasu.

your acting like your telling me sumthing i dont already know and that fact of the matter is the first post i made on this thread adressed that fact but u didnt read the whole thread u jus jumped in late and started talking which is why u dont know this
@floriclori u clearly do not understand what instant means which is unfortunate because its not a hard word to understand
by the way i failed u jus compared the speed your eye moves to the speed of light haha
If you need to take into the account about the actual speed of the eye and how fast it can focus, then you also need to take into account the preparation time for kirin in which case kirin loses hands down.
If you have two targets and two uchihas who can use these techs, and they are both prepped and ready to be fired, amaterasu will win because instant is faster than even the immense speed of lightening.
The thing with amaterasu is that if you can speedblitz the sharingan, then amaterasu becomes almost useless as you are just firing it off at random. Whereas kirin has a wider damage and almost as fast, because it doesnt depend on the sharingan being able to keep up with the opponent.
I guess you have to weigh up their differences and compare them, but IMO amaterasu is the faster one

I maintain that no matter how you look at it, Kirin is the slower of the two. This should not even be a debate.
