The 3rd was just something else...
Tsunade is mainly a healing ninja. That is her talent. She became Hokage after Orochimaru's attack, while Konoha was recovering from an invasion with the mission of rebuilding Konoha. She was the good choice of Hokage for that, to "heal" Konoha sort of thing.
I think right now she is doing the best she can. She is healing the injured, since she is a medical ninja. Katsuyu-healing was the best she could do during that invasion, i know she has Taijutsu but still.
I don't like her much as a Hokage compared to the previous, but I think her actions were right.I think Konoha wouldn't benefit from her fighting Pain directly instead of healing the village with her great healing techniques. She must've realized that
I hope that you understood what I said. She isn't a coward, but she isn't reckless either.

They would never be Hokages.
Itachi: Member of Akatsuki, missing nin and he's known in Konoha for having killed all of his clan.
Jirayia: Would never accept the offer, he wasn't made to be Hokage. He refused the elders' offer when they wanted him to be Hokage.
They are strong, but they wouldn't be good Hokages. Maybe Itachi if he hadn't left Konoha and killed his clan. But I don't think an Uchiha would ever make it to Hokage.

Hold up!! The kage is the last line of defense, plus her biggest attribute is her healing ability. She has been kage for some time now, so its safe to say she has read and learned a lot of jutsu for the forbidden scroll. And in early fights she was not at her full potential. (she was running from her past and her destiny).
Now given the fact i did't like all her decisions i do trust she knows whats shes doing.

but at the end of issue 428 the manga said that "Pein is invincible and violent...!!"
Tsunade is supposed to die sometime soon anyways... Kishi said it in his recent interview... he said that Naruto, Shikamaru, and Sakura "need to grow up".

Tsunade is an awesome healing ninja, she like makes the entire village invincable almost once she got's her slug's on everybody lol.
Dude... Tsunade is a SANNIN ... that should mean something. She's a medical ninja, but she has other abilities too. There are many medical ninjas in Naruto's world, but only Tsunade became a SANNIN with Orochimaru and Jiraya. So hold on when you say she's useless. If she gets envolved in a fight with Pein, she might die, but we are going to see a hell of a fight!
i'm not sure if kakashi is a better choice than tsunade because if kakashi was hokage then more people would be dead during this whole pain thing since kakashi can't heal or summon those slug things
Yea its kinda tru i mean even if he totally destroys her she can just do that Mitonic regenaration jutsu and blam but no i doubt theyll fight I mean Pein already knows where naruto is there would be no point, but than again Tsunade could stall

Tsunade's a spoiled brat, they didn't have to make her the hokage. Couldn't she just return to the village as the head in chief of the Konoha Hospital? Seems to me the hokage title was the only reason she would return. She's a sadistic leader, not good. She could easily do what she is doing now for Konoha with all the slugs without having to be the hokage.
And notice how she's talking shit to Pain while standing behind those ANBU members & relying on Naruto. I know she's scared shitless right now, so Kudos to Pain for giving us "haters" the pleasure of finally seeing someone talk to her like that.
And on her becoming a Sannin. I doubt it's because of her battle skills. J-Man & Oro were without a doubt the reason why they were called the Sannins. Tsunade is a medical ninja, so during their fight with Hanzou she most likely watched her comrades (Oro & J-Man) fight Hanzou from the sidelines as a medic ninja is supposed to do, much like Sakura & Ino.
1. Is this a joke? After not having done anything but hiding since Pain arrived and watched her people either killed or injured. Fighting Pain will be very unlikely.
2. Lmao. Sounds like an empty threat. Sorry, but Kishi was most likely trying to keep peoples hopes up, that maybe she'll finally fight Pain. But we all know that's doubtful.

no, your wrong. her talent is healing you should stick with what your best at in order for a team to work... if im on a football team and i can run like a beast but i cant catch worth a crap then you need to hand it off to me and let me run not pass it to me if i cant catch... simmilar situation... shes best at healing and can heal the majority of the village thats amazing and very usefull... also the hokage is the king or president you wouldnt send them straight into the arms of your enemy! you want to protect them even if they are the strongest fighter. they stand for more than "peace keeper" they stand for hope and all that stuff, also they do diplomatic stuff... anyway what im poking at is that the hokage should not be the first one on the front lines

koo is right. this is not how head of state or army works. simply bcos they are the single point of failure. if they r down, instantly the battle is lost or everything in utter disarray. without careful planning its not wise jto ump in a battle and lose it for the whole village instantly. 3rd was forced to fight against oro, he didnt voluntarily fight, if i remember correctly. if he had lost that battle, konoha wud fall.
