I think...don't buy it. :|
I don't know why, but it sucks. The game is cool but ther will be a new ''Generations'' with only new characters. I will not buy any of these ''Generations''. I will just lose Money for a game that will get old in 4 months. I will wait until Naruto Manga/Anime will end and I will buy the last Naruto Generations that will be the best Naruto game.
*sigh*

Gameplay: Awesome fighting scenes, cut-scenes etc
Huge Roster of characters
Sound: Excellent sound, but the English voices are terrible
Excellent graphics
Overall the game is awesome and worth every penny. Truthfully, I would pay 80$ for it.

no i do not agree, the game is not that bad.. i am glad the story mode is short, i really don't like overly dragged story lines that i have to spend x amount of hours on ..
the online is fairly decent, i just don't like the fact that they boot you from tourneys because of internet issues that aren't even that bad .. overall the game gets an 8 out of 10
i like the fact people cant spam subs anymore.. some people just aren't ever satisfied .. it was worth the buy imo if you have online .. but if you have folks around you that like naruto as well, it is a good competition game.. especially for naruto fans.. maybe you just don't have any skill to keep up?

Dude this game is much better than storm 2. Its refined and they fixed many things right on generations . Online is allot more fun on generations and u have much more options foe online like tournaments and more. Plus the characters are a bit better and the game okay is faster on their. The new sub system stops sub spamer and makes it hard for people to spam their subs and all get used to it if u had n's storm 2

I hope you got a good deal.
Your money will be wasted if it cost anything above £25/$40 or 30 Euros. Honestly the story is a max of 3 hours long. It's not worth it and is nothing like the previous story-modes. There are no cut scenes anymore either. Also the additional anime content which was meant to be a total of 60 minutes,is more like 20.
No there aren't. About 25 of those are support only and even then most of the characters are just the same ones from storm 1 and 2. By that I mean they have not been improved one bit...not really anyway. Glad you like it though.
I think you are correct in certain respects. But the fact that I and many others paid full price for this game is an insult.
Full price means full story,and all the trimings...the story mode should have been there for those that wanted it. Being able to immerse yourself in the Naruto World and be among the Characters is part of the fun.
A simple fighter is all this is and as such,they should have made massive improvements to the fighting.
I would have allowed this to go unoticed if the fighter only style game had the following things:
1: Multiple Jutsu's and U.J's for all the characters. Not just some...:sy:
2: Costume selections for ALL the characters.
3: Clashes were back in the game.
4: Awakening could be used from the start of the fight.
5: Awakening still had U.J's.
6: More levels to play on. Not just morning,afternoon,evening...BS
7: If we had a new tag-combination system. Team U.J is good but an upgrade would be nice.
8: Tag-Team option wouldn't kill.
9: Better Versus and online options than the cheap BS they threw up in our faces.
That's to name a few things...but a game which is fight based only,should really give 110% into the fighting if they're gonna 90% ignore the story. It's meant to entertain us till the next one is released...not for one day.
Spamming...it's now too easy to sub though. Although there is a limit to it,it is now piss easy to hit the button and do it. Before(in storm 1) it required timing. The gauge also refills far too fast.
I agree that the fighting is better of course...but is it RRP better?
Do you really believe that the little improvements are worthy of being an entire new game? Or do you feel they could simply have had this as DLC?
I think this is a decent game in the fighting respects...but the story is BS,Utter BS and more so the characters have had the smallest amounts of effort put into making them more exciting.
Glad you don't feel ripped off like me and many others but you have to admit that this is not a full game...by any standard.

its worth it if you're going to play online a lot, but if you're buying it just for the single player then yeah it's kind of a waste of money.

Me too.
They already have a system which uses a 3 man cell. Why not make it into a tag team system too? Would be simple for them...
Then it should not be a full price game.
When games come out with only one purpose like that they should reduce the cost significantly to reflect that.

I know they are way slow on catching onto that.
The other thought I had was the mixing of characters jutsu's. In the PS2 games,certain characters had combination moves which was hella cool to see.
But a simple tag-in tag-out system would be what local and online fans would go mad for...

I liked both previous ones for various reasons.
1: Had epic clashes and awakenings were much better...
2: Had great story and boss fights and the characters were many...but losing the clashes and losing the 3rd health bar and also awakening epicness was a shame.
They should ask fans more often...shame
Hmm i have been thinkint in buying the game but you make it sounds like it is not worth!
Buy anyway, if i buy the game it wont be just to see the story that i allready know. get my characters unlock and woop asses online.
