what you dont seem to understand is that your prime does not deteriorate THAT much. if thats all he was capable of at age 69, then at whatever age he wasnt very good either. orochimaru wasnt at his prime. he was using a girl

jiraiya is past his prime but could still take down a few paths of pain.

tsunade is past her prime too but shes still proving to be somewhat strong.

if he couldnt do shit past his prime he most likely couldnt do shit in his prime

Yes, Hiruzen couldn't do anything to Orochimaru, not because Hiruzen lacked the power to do that, just because he had feelings towards Orochimaru.

wow thats shows his resolve but then who summoned enma him so he tryed to defend himself a little and was tossed aside with one jutsu and didnt even have the resolve to get up and fight again. at least tsunade got over her problems when the situation gets tough whats his excuse.

From that I can say, that all the Hokage were declare stronger than any Kage of the Five Great Shinobi Villages. It also understood to say that the Third Hokage was often consider or Nickname the "Professor" or "God of Shinobi" because of his knowledge and skill in the Ninja Arts that almost revival or compare to that of the Sage, who was said to create and teach Ninjutsu.

Also, his prime is questionable. I want go into detail because less is known. Until then, I see the Hokage as equally strong excluding Hashirama.

I understand about the other facts about the third Hokage, the Harshirama thing, and the rest of the post, but the data book doesn't compare of what is said into the Manga. To be honest, I take the Manga words before anything else.
