I don't know why people are talking about Chibaku Tensei and stuff. Chibaku Tensei takes time to create. Tsukyomi is instantaneous (it's based on sight so speed of light). We know Pain can be caught under Genjutsu.

Itachi wins with Tsukyomi off the bat. If you included more paths, then it might be a different story.

well, Nagato (yes, he was crippled) had all six paths and he was still beaten. Full health and chakra (since he's an uzumaki) would be tough. Deva path alone? I don't know

Well, the Human Path is completely useless in a fight. If Itachi faced all six and DIDN'T know anything about them (or their real secret), I'd see Nagato winning. That isn't the case here, so...

Sure, with six I'm not sure, as I said it would be a different story. I mean, Itachi can only get one person under Tsukyomi at a time.

But here, we've only got Deva Path, and I can't see him escaping Tsukyomi.

Chibaku is a very fast jutsu to cast.. And Tsukuyomi requires eye contact, Nagato knows about Itachi's visual prowess so won't be duped that easily, as well as, Tsukuyomi is a very high toll jutsu, and as the Deva Path would not feel the effects of the torture, Itachi would have to either not use it, or use it and realize it was worthless.

I forgot about that. Well, it wasn't the Deva path that got tortured but you're probably right that all the paths can't be tortured. I guess the battle won't be so easy then.

itachi can visually torture nagato though by showing him horrible images in his genjutsu also the totsuka sword seals EVERYTHING it pierces say it again EVERYTHING and nagato would most likely go crazy at the thought of his best friends body being tortured or him being shown it was tortured

Itachi has no counter for Banshou tenin and Shinrei tensei.It attracts and repulses anything.
Not to mension Gedo mazo and Chibaku tensei....

That's not true. Chibaku Tensei increased much in size because Itachi has hold a debate with Naruto and Bee. Put out this chitchat and attack it in its initial stage and a TBB is not needed. Why isn't it impossible for Amaterau to burn the core? Because you don't want see that Itachi can manage it? For Chibaku Tenseis activation you first have to throw a sphere in the air, already this takes a few seconds. Amaterasu on the other hand arises directly in Itachis field of vision, no matter whether it's a person or in this case the flying up sphere. At the moment when Nagato will throw his sphere up, all Itachi has to do is to target it and hit it directly with his Amaterasu in order to burn it.

Further, you understimate the power of the Yasaka no Magatama. Madaras Magatamas managed to break Gaaras and Oonokis superposed perfect defenses, although sand by itself has already a very absorbing property, so can dampen hits very well. Hitting Chibaku Tensei with 20 Magatamas in its intial stage could be sufficient to destroy it.

Just think about it, it's an option.

Anyways, Itachi takes this with low difficult. I mean you can't demand from Deva to beat Itachi by himself, Deva Path by himself is not far enough to beat Itachi with his abilities.

Before i start, i already said that itachi will beat deva path since he doesnt have his other paths.
But itachi is not the type of person to just see a black ball and amaterasu it (wasting unnecessary chakra) if he doesnt know whether it can be evaded without wasting chakra. U_U
You only know that it is dangerous when it starts pulling you inside. And that was exactly what happened against edo nagato. By that time, more mountains, trees and everything will block the black core and only yata malgamata is never enough to go through everything and hit the black core properly that a tailed beast ball from the six tails couldnt scratch. :shrug:

If Tendo forms Chibaku Tensei, Itachi ignites it and him with Amaterasu. If Tendo repells it with Chibaku Tensei, Itachi will immediately use it again, seal him with Totsuka no Tsurugi or kill him with Yasaka no Magatama. Genjutsu works as well, and summoned crows are a good way to distract Tendo and force him to use Shinra Tensei, too. Bansho Tennin won't be working either, since Susanoo's ribcage is more than enough to protect Itachi from Tendo's Chakra rods. Way too many opportunities for Itachi..
