The following is a one shot divided into three chapters, so it’s sort of a 3-shot. The first will follow Roy/Cheshire’s story to the prom, the second will follow Conner/M’gann’s story to the prom, and the last will feature the story of Wally/Dick, as well as the prom itself. Enjoy, even though it's not my best work, I still love it.

Standing upon the rainy rooftops of Central City, where it is believed that Ra’s Al Ghul is making a personal visit to discuss matters with a man named Hugo, Roy Harper “Red Arrow” keeps watch, waiting for something to happen inside the massive skyscraper. Even with this his job at his feet, he can’t help but think about what happened two monthes ago. As an unofficial member of both Young Justice and the Justice League, he shouldn’t have even considered doing what he did, but his personal affection got the best of him. Sighing and sitting down, he placed his dampened hand on his chin, thinking about how that one person, that one feeling, that one incident could change his life, could ruin his life.
Hitting himself in his forehead, he snaps himself back into reality. Get real Roy, what happened was a stupid joke, he thought, but he knew it was more. As the red handprint on his forehead began to vanish and his eyes began to revert to their normal stress-full appearance, a knife flew past his face. Grabbing his bow and arming it in a mere second, he shifted his body around to come face to face with the attacker.
“Throwing a knife from that distance and missing your target? Really? Great job there Jade.” Roy smirked towards the women dressed in torn green and black clothing, and her face covered by a white cat-like mask.
“I never miss and never call me that name again. Trust me when I say the next time you’ll get exactly what you deserve. Now, let’s continue with our date.” The masked woman said, flirting with her adversary. She raised a small sword and lunged at Roy who defended it with the edge of his bow.
“Your presence confirms Ras. Where is he?” Roy asked, dodging a strike to the face.
“He’s gone and has been for a couple of hours. Your little friends on top of the mountain probably already knew that, but it’s okay if you’re a little slow. I know how fast, how edgy, you really are and I’m all that matters to you, right?” Cheshire asked Roy, mocking his timing. Roy lunged for a punch, but she did a backflip and removed her mask.
“Punches? Is that really the kind of man you are? To hurt a face like this….” she asked. Roy’s face became a little guilty, but Cheshire smiled. “I like that” she licked her mouth as she threw some more knives towards Roy. He rolled to the side and shot three arrow at Cheshire, but she jumped over all of them and landed by kicking Roy in the face. Holding his body down, she leaned into his ear. “That’s not all I like, but you already know that.” Her cold, but flirtatious voice echoed through his head. He rolled her over and turned the tide.
Leaning into her ears, he asked her something. “What are you doing here? Answer me. Now.” Now, he looked into her eyes and saw a glimpse of happiness.
“Just playing around.” She smiled as a light shined off a string she held in her hand, connected to the knife she through at the beginning of their “date.” Roy backed off as the building’s wall exploded and Cheshire backflipped off of the building, making her exit. Roy looked off into the smoke for her, but only found rubble and fire. Another night, another date, and more questions.
That night, Roy dumped all of his clothes on the lonely chair in his apartment. Wearing only a white shirt and jeans, he made his way towards his phone where he had two missed calls. One from Wally and one from an unknown number. He, with little to no effort, clicked a button to replay the voices.
“Hey Royyyyyyy! It’s the Wall-Man. Where’ve you been?”
“Probably with some girl.” Dick chimed in.
“Probably. Anyways, the prom’s tomorrow and I know this is extremely short notice, but you’re invited, sort of. I’m going with Artemis and Dick’s going with Zantanna and we need you there as a chaperone. Warning though, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Iris, and my Uncle Barry will be the other ones. So, you in? Helllllooooooo?! Bro?” Wally’s voiced just kept talking and talking from the voice tone. Damn Wally, Roy thought. There’s no way he’s going to some prom to watch over some kids. As Wally’s annoying voice finally ended, he played the other message.
“Hey. We need to talk. See you tonight.” A female voice played over the phone. Roy checked the time, which showed this message was made hours ago. He was on patrol. Dismissing the message, Roy walked into his bedroom, layed in the bed, and stared at the ceiling. His eyes bounced around the black walls and he couldn’t help but think about that message. Was it really her? Did she really have something important to talk about? His thoughts just drifted and drifted as his mind began to tire out. Sleep was coming. Dreams filled through his head. Images of a girl with pitch black hair smiling and laughing with him overflowed his thoughts. It wasn't Red Arrow, but Roy Harper. It wasn't a masked assassion, but it was...her. The last image was him kissing the girl before he awoke from his dream, sweating and in shocked. His eyes locked onto a note placed on the wall. Slowly getting out of his bed, Roy limped his way towards the wall and grabbed the note. His blurry eyes began to become clear and focused as they scanned the note. It read-
"Remember when you arrested me in that suit when I tried to remove that little EurAsia deal? You looked nice when I nearly sliced your neck open. Suit up. We're going to join your little friends at the prom. See you there.

Crumbling the note, Roy threw it at the wall. These damn games were starting to tear at him. As he left the room, Roy looked back at the note and zoomed in on the PS. Blue or pink? What did she mean? Fueling him with even more anger, Roy slammed the door. The handle shook for minutes just like Roy's brain. Things were getting out of hand. Tonight it ends, he thought.
Wearing the exact same suit he wore that same day, years ago, Roy walked up to the building the hosted the prom. He saw Wally walk in with Artemis, Dick and Zantanna not too far behind, M'gann and Conner, and Kaldur with some chick he didn't know. Why the hell was Kaldur even here? Must be a chaperone too. As he went to go talk to his buddies, Roy was tackled from behind and grappled to the roof. With no weapon to defend himself, Roy just punched the assailent in the face. As the blood dripped from her face, Cheshire took off her mask. At the same time, Roy stood up to his feet.
"Cheshire, these games are getting out of hand!" he shouted. Laughing, she dropped her mask to the ground.
"Games? Here I am, dressed and all, but you just attack me and then accuse me of playing games with you? I'm bleeding. Bleeding. Blood stains. Hm, I guess this is our first memory together as a family. Ah, memories." she said in a beautiful black dress. He hair was straightened and the blood dripped onto her black heels.
Roy's eyes grew wide at the last part of the sentence. Before he could retaliate, she drew out a dagger and shouted 4 words that echoed throughout the city.
"Welcome to the prom!"
