that's why Itachi told Sasuke to kill his best friend in order to witness it.

by the way itachi didn't have to kill shisui, he only witnessed his death. danzo killed shisui.

All this i dont beleive this,that you have to kill ur bestfreind before u unlock the MS,look at sasuke he has MS and he hasnt killed his best freind yet which is naruto,i think the reason an uchiha kills his best freind is for his sharingan to be improved,and we dont have proof that itachi killed his bestfreind shishu.he could have lied.
It is through emotional stress and pain that the sharingan developes,but is it only through pain and emotional stress and taking ur brothers eyes?
