Like saiga said there is special circumstances, i mena have u ever seen gai use ninjutsu i mean he is a jounin =0

Ummmm.....yer he can become a jouin even though he can't er.... use ummm...... ninjusitu because he ummm... can use the ummm.... 8 gates and guy has trained him ummm... extramly well.

hahah maybe a few too many umms. i think there are special jounins that specialize in one thing. im pretty sure i read that somewhere. that is why ibiki or the interrogator is a jounin

there will be special circumstances... the only person who could probably see him are guy, and anyone with a well developed sharinghan... so i really don't think there would be a good reason why he couldn't be one

yeah i think so he can use his taijutsu to his advantage like in the chunnin exams in the forest when he took on the 3 sound ninjas by himself and could have takin out the leader if the other ninja dint soften the ground...

Morning Peacock is elemental recomposition, so it's ninjutsu if you ask me

Gai can use ninjutsu but is a taijutsu master. For example, he can summon. Rock probably will be a specialist jounin.

No i dont think you HAVE to have 2 elements. Look at Shikamaru and Neji. Neji is most likely to have mastered 2 elements but Shikamaru ........No

shikamaru is not a jounin :naruto:

Look at Guy. Though he has the capability to use ninjutsu, he doesn't. Look at Tsunade. She's not used any elements so far. We've seen orochimaru use only one element.

And Kurenai hasn't used any either. And Baki only used that wind blade jutsu.


So far, the only jounin we've seen with more than one element are Asuma (he has his wind blades and that fire-style burning ash jutsu) and kakashi.

I think you might only need one element to become a jounin, but some can use two.

I mean so far, Neji's only used one element. (wind)
