well thats just obvious misreading of the manga. to her sasuke not being there is the same as being alone. all she wants is for him to talk to her, to acknowledge her. physical contact isnt important. sasuke complimenting her on her skills at genjutsu meant more to her than even kissing him. sasuke confided in her the details of the massacre and foreshadowed realising itachi was crying that night. obviously she finds some solace and comfort in his presence that she doesnt find with naruto and kakashi. the mere thought of losing him was too much to bear, so she almost sacrificed herself just to rescue him against gaara. would she really do that just for a stupid crush? no. sakuras not stupid.

Even as a young adult, after Sasuke is moved on, she is still obsessed with him, even after he tries to kill her.

she rarely if ever thinks about him and is focused almost entirely on the war and naruto. how is that obsessed? shes thought of him ONCE in 150 chapters. and naruto was much more obsessed throughout part 2. naruto cries and hyperventilates at sasuke. sakura just has a bit of a sad face.

I dislike Sakura but its not because she is weak or anything like that(well that's a minor reason) but she pulled a bitch move when she lied to Naruto. I feel that it was just out of the bounds of reason to pull something like that.

1. She didn't do it in private
I mean if your going to do something like that at least do it privately love is not something you just throw around like a shuriken or something.

2.She tried to make Naruto look like a fool
I mean she was basically trying to clown him in front of his teammates, teammates that he has been trying for years to get their respect if Naruto had believed her I think people would have had less respect for him not as a ninja but as a person.

3. She did it for herself
Sakura did it to make herself feel better this is kind of obvious though. I mean she felt all crummy that well she was making Naruto feel bad so she decided to fix the situation by making him a fool in front of his teammates. She wanted to make herself feel better about the whole situation.

Well, I Can Understand The Reasons You Mentioned, And When You Put It That Way, it Does Seem Incredibly Terrible, Especially When Taking Into Account Naruto's Feelings, And How He Saw Right Through Her When Sakura 'Professed' Her Love For Him.

However, At The Time, She Felt That It Was The Only Thing She Could Do For Naruto; Most Of It Was Out Of The Guilt That Sai Bestowed Upon Her When He Told Her That It Was Her Promise With Naruto Of Bringing Sasuke Back That Was Causing Naruto So Much Pain (Although Naruto Didn't See Things That Way, And Personally Wanted To Save Sasuke). She Also Thought (At The Time) That She Would've Been Able To Kill Sasuke Herself (Which Of Course Turned Out Disastrously, Since She Couldn't Find It In Herself To Simply Forget Her Memories Of Him, As Corrupt As He Currently Was). Finally, Despite The Things Sasuke Has Done, She Still Loves Him, And Felt That The Only Way To Keep Him From Sinking Even Lower Was To Kill Him, Even Is She Had To Do So Herself.

After Naruto And Sasuke's Brief Clash, And Naruto Stated His Resolve To Sasuke (That He Was Prepared To Die Alongside Sasuke In Their Next Fated Battle), Sakura Finally Understood That She Had Been Totally Unprepared, And That It Would Be Best To Leave Things Up To Naruto And Sasuke, Instead Of Trying To Remedy The Situation On Her Own. In That Sense, I Believe She Has Redeemed Herself. The Actions She May Have Taken Weren't The Best, I'll Admit; But We All Do Stupid Things At One Point Or Another, And At That Particular Instance, We Don't Find It To Be Very Stupid - Rather, We Think It's A Clever Idea.

I'm No Fan Of Sakura's, And This Post Isn't To Say That You Should Be Either, But At Least Understand How She Saw Things From Her Perspective.
