Why Minato > Itachi - The Analysis.

Itachi wins low difficulty
Your just dumb in everyway, even the stupidest person can figure out hes stalling for his susanoo to go away
And Itachi is the smartest ninja on the show with prediction abilities(Inhanced with Sharingan)
Even Killer Bee predicted Minatos move lol
Itachi is also better at taijutsu and ninjutsu and everything else
And he doesnt need Minato to look in his eyes
Finger genjutsu then cuts off Minatos hands
Then its pratically over
Cause then he couldnt make rasengan(unless he can do it with his feet) A feat that has yes to be shown

Its actually sad for Minato seeing as how he cant win

Honestly Susanoo wouldnt be needed it would only be more over kill

Sorry, but Itachi knows the solution to all problems. He could quickly evaluate Minato's fighting style and take it from there. Unlike Minato, there was nothing Itachi's instructors could teach him for he already knew ahead of time. He was a beast at age 7 and probably matched the strength of Kakuzu during that age. Itachi would win hands down.

sigh i just made a thread about this.
minato simply cannot be beaten by 1 person. FTG is the most difficult thing in the narutoverse to beat! not because its super powerful or because itll kill u immedeatly. FTG is the best because the user cannot be caught. simple as tht its impossible, FTG is to damn fast. it doesnt take a hand seal and its even faster than raikage (whos said to be the fastest ninja alive). Im not saying tht it wud be easy to beat Itachi im just saying he wud.
no matter what itachi does minato just has to use FTG to escape.
Tsukyomi: minato just has to look at itachi's feet and fight like ur supposed to fite any sharingan.
amateratsu: ok amateratsu is a jutsu tht puts the black flames wherever the user can SEE. thts the problem with FTG itachi wudnt be able to see minato long enough to use amateratsu.
susanoo/blade: ok tht blade is just a big sword and with FTG tht wud probably be the easiest thing nto dodge.
and ive read alot about *finger genjutsu*: ok this "finger genjutsu" is a impressive genjutsu but once again the same flaw as amateratsu, itachi needs to be able to point at minato fast enough. which with FTG he cud not.
to win this fight minato simply has to lay 1 hand on itachi to plant his seal, then its all over simple as tht. and if minato cud get a rasengan off on tobi im sure he cud manage to touch itachi.
dont get me wrong itachi is a genius and wud put up one hell of a fight. but he simply doesnt have the ability to end the job.

oh and something i wanna say to the itachi lovers you guys seem to think that as soon as minato looks into itachis eyes theres two things wrong with that firstly genjutsu arent immediate they take a couple of seconds to perform secondly unless minatos standing right next to him itachis not gonna know wether or not minatos looking into his eyes or not so hes not gonna risk using a jutsu (tsukyomi) that uses up half of his chakra thirdly since genjutsu takes a while to cast itachi is not gonna be able to hit minato while he keeps FTGing/keeping up his speed, and lastly minato has great chakra control (he was able to great a jutsu that has been called the the pinacle of shape manipulation) so hes gonna be able to break out of any genjutsu itachi has apart from tsukyomi (that we know of)

so imo opinion minato takes this or draw. I'm not saying minato>itachi im just saying that anyone who relies upon speed and intelligence will almost always lose against minato for two simple reasons Minatos speed + ftg> anyones speed we know of and that minato is as smart as anyone (apart from maybe shikamaru).
however against people who rely on strength and defense itachi will almost always beat once again for 2 reasons amaterasu (if you dont have good reflexes your screwed no matter who strong you are) and the ultimate susanoo (its unbeatable if you cant get away from it quickly)

this is my honset opinion i am a minato fan but this is truely what i think would happen

yeah madara is shitting on the kage's the same kage's who doesnt dare to attacked tobi with all their combined powerfull jutsu's after seeing raikages speed fails to hit tobi. while minato kicked tobi's ass by just a SIMPLE FTG and RASENGAN. now which is better all of the 5 current jutsu or the SIMPLE FTG and RASENGAN. even wonder why itachi ALSO doesnt dare to kill tobi when he was alive to remove a future threat to his beloved konoha? when did he grow some balls? ans:when he's dead but still scared enough so he simply implanted a trap on sasuke's eyes to try to kill madara.

and ik uve been here awhile but it seems uve lost sight of what the point of NB is, which is to DEBATE ideas in the narutoverse. not to just say to every g*dam* comment "theyre just and fanboy" or "what u say is pointless"

Itachi is really awesome... one of my fav n one the only one who's personality is alike mine... It is true what you said... but Itachi could use clones that can certainly confuse Minato, simple... and FTG??? i jus imagined Minato using it everytime Itachi moves a muscle (its kinda funny though)... but come on its naruto everytime between battles, everyone stops n uses dialogue or thinks of a plan or bla bla tht ends the whole damn episode or chapter... in this time Minato can surely be caught under Genjutsu, everyone makes mistskes... Its lik Itachi says "Every Jutsu's weakness and risks.... is me"
i am sure he will come up with something... i am jus sayin that it will be a hard fight for Minato, his FTG will be overpowered by something but in the end... lets all accept it guys, Yondaime is Yondaime, he's gona win for sure...

it uses up chakra but very little. if you look at minato in the manga using FTG he doesnt even brake a sweat, which with most moves tht take up alot of chakra force some perspiration.

FTG's weaknesses are genjutsu and a great defense and itachi has them both therefore itachi<minato

I think it is more like itachi <= minato

Point defense is a weakness to FTG. To counter FTG with defense you will need 360° defense. Sussano mirror only defends about 180° which leaves the back white open for Minatos biggest advantage, which is to exploit any weakness instantly.

I agree though that if Itachi should manage to get his tsukiomi on then the battle would turn to Itachi side. That is his ONLY hope.

Kazekages, raikages, guy with gates opened, and kisame are known to have abilities to counter FTG. NOT ITACHI!

For people who says "Amaterasu and over",
Minato can teleport from Amaterasu, pretty simple.

Why?

Because the moment Amaterasu hits something it becomes a physical essence, as it has been shown in the manga and anime. FTG allows Minato to teleport anything within contact or chose not to. For example, he teleported with Naruto, Kushina and Kyubi, but when Tobi had physical contact with him, Minato teleported away without taking him along.

So yeah, Amaterasu is not a problem to discuss, though Susano'o isn't either. Flying Thunder God allows the user to teleport anywhere within short range of the seal, I believe FTG is one of the jutsus capable of allowing the user to bypass Susanoo, though the user will require to put a seal on Susanoo beforehand.

Now, people say Sword of Totsuka (spelling) is one of the most fastest attacks with a long range. The sword is as fast as what a regular sword would be, just scale it out in a bigger perspective. The sword though, has the capability to extend, what speed? I do not know. What I can say though, is that Nagato reacted to the sword, but was unable to escape as he was unable to use his feet to escape.

Now, people forget how formidable Minato's base speed is without the aid of FTG, which is the fastest base speed in the Narutoverse. Fighting against such speed would be difficult even for an MS user.

Now, the strongest point of Itachi, is his prowess with Genjutsu, which without doubt gives him an upper hand in the fight. Though please, do not be an obstinate fanboy basing an entire fight on the usage of genjutsu.

This fight could go either way, but I feel Minato has the advantage.

yeah he doesnt need to see amaterasu,,, minato just have to feel it since it's HOT he would just teleport his body when he feels it. minato is ALSO intangible just like tobi. minato respected SPACE TIME when he saw tobi not his SHARINGAN. "who ever he is he is incredible he both wields spacetime and control the fox"~minato
