True but Jiraiya was not a kage. As for there being some sort of library, I thought that was implied in the first chapter when Naruto stole a scroll that contained all the forbidden jutsus of Konoha that only the kage was allowed to have in his possession (the scroll not the jutsus).
I guess I took that to mean that the kages had access to more information that would not be made public. I'm pretty sure that Hashirama would have at least told Hiruzen something about the abilities of his greatest enemy.
Anyway I could be wrong, but I do think that the kages have scrolls (a sort of library) that they keep for future generations of kages.

Wow, making Itachi immortal. You really don't like minato do u? Only way he can end this is reaper death seal, which kills him too, and won't be easy to pull off on Itachi.
woah woah woah cool your jets lol, i didnt even say minato would win . minato hasnt shown or hasnt had to show a defense against genjutsu, so in the end i think itachi would win because of this

Minato has to look into itachi eyes to see that he is about to use amaterasu to evade it, no different to what A did. Looking at his eye's he will eat a tsukuyomi. Next itachi has shown the ability to withhold from using an ms technique even if it looks like he was about to use it, no different to what happened during their little duel with nagato

He won't look into his eyes. It's that simple, Minato has been described as a shrewd meaning he's a very careful ninja, the fact that the normal genjutsu cancel can fail(it didn't work for Naruto) is enough for a shrewd not to even risk getting caught in genjutsu, as for other geniuses who looked into his eye:
We don't know what led to Oro doing that, he may have been forced to like 30% Itachi forced Kakashi's clone and since it was near his reincarnation time he was not as powerful.
Kakashi thought his Sharingan could break it
Sasuke knew he could break it
Bee(technically not a genius) knew he could counter all illusions
Its a VS thread where we mix and match the characters ability to beat their opponents, just as I can say he'll teleport to dodge a kick, I can say he won't look into his eyes. It's simply me using his ability to fight without eye contact
He never saw Tobi's Sharingan and this is the only Sharingan battle he had so with these odds he won't make eye contact.
