Minato is one of my favorite characters and all, but you guys need to understand his limits. He would have a hard enough time with regular Itachi let alone edo.

Owarij is right, genjutsu is literally the biggest factor here, and Minato has no defenses against it.

Even if he had defenses against normal genjutsu, his only defense against Tsukuyomi would leave him vulnerable to other attacks.

EVEN if he doesn't , he still has NO knowledge on itachi's abilities , and if he looks at his feet, or his waist or wherever.
guess what? he's wide open to an amaterasu that he can't see coming, and he has no knowledge of...

we have two kO moves that minato can only counter IF he has knowledge on them ....

come on people ... you can't have it both.. minato isn't god, and he isn't magically going to get out of this situation... like kakashi, without knowledge of itachi's ms abilities, he's just gonna end up either tsukyomi'd and in a coma, or burning on the floor..<--(kakashi didn't get that one, )

I would have to say Minato. I do like the Seals but im looking more at the Flying thunder god technique. the sharingan is fast and strong but i feel if Minato can use the flying thunder god technique he could move fast enough that even the sharingan couldnt keep up and get a good blow behind itachi

Well I'm sure he has knowledge of it (he was the hokage and Madara had those exact same abilities. I can't see them forgetting about someone like Madara so easily.)

But you are right in that he wouldn't know Itachi would have them.

I like Minato as much as the next guy, but unlike fanboys I know his limits. He is better suited to fighting people with slower, area of effect attacks or people who fight mostly close range.
