But, have no fear, I've just been a tad busy...*cough*

So here we go guys; we're back in business!

Today's Featured Film: The Hunger Games

In the nation of Panem, a "reaping" is held to remind the rebels of the Capitol's authority. This reaping is to select 1 boy and 1 girl from each of the 12 districts to compete in a competition known as the Hunger Games.

The story revolvs around 16 year old Katniss Everdeen, who watches over her younger sister and mother. But when her sister is randomly chosen to compete, she volunteers as a replacement and must win the competition,...or die.

This movie...was awesome. And I don't wanna hear sh** from any of you people saying "NYEH NYEH THE MOVIE SUCKED! WHY IS IT SO COLD IN HERE?? WHO TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS? WHERE'S MY DINNER??"....meh.

It was good. Trust me. And the good part about it is that you don't have to go and read the books to understand. Of course, the books would probably give a bit more in depth of the movie, it's still not a hard subject to grasp. "The Hunger Games" was an amazing film with a unique storyline, and I can't to hear what you guys thought of it.

This movie is rated PG-13 for intense violent thematic material and disturbing images - all involving teens.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have the read the whole trilogy. I have heard the movie is good and it doesn't change anything from the books.

When I did reviews for a class I did a lot of video game reviews and they were required to be pretty long.

I went and saw it with my girlfriend. She read the book beforehand, I never got around to it.

Both of us thought it sucked. She felt it was a huge middle finger to the book, I felt it was just a "meh" experience. There were several parts during the movie, in clearly non-humorous parts, when people in the theater just started laughing.

Characters were weak and unrealistic. The action was sparse and not very entertaining. Overall it just seemed like things "happened" with no real set up or explanation.

What exactly was there to like about the movie?

I suppose things are up to a matter of opinion. That's all my review are. I merely recommend films to people, I never really set a basis of good or bad amongst video games and movies.

There were many bad reviews and many good reviews for this film. It may just be "Potter-syndrome", which is the favoritism towards a film adaption of a book series.

It’s a science fiction action movie directed by Gary Ross. It is based on the novel “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. Jennifer Lawrence played the central character and he worked superbly in the movie. The movie is well received by critics and currently holds the record for the third best opening weekend box office sales of any movie
